Why Pinkleader? It’s an old moniker, back when I did leading, especially with buddies Green and Blue. I guess I should have chosen Pinkleader, retired. Broken, but still good? Now it’s mostly Pink-stumbles-blindly-behind-the-dog-trying-not-to-trip-over-her.

Every glass of water you drink, is a little less water for the data centers. Stay hydrated.

Barn carts in need of a new home. Before we lost our sister we also lost our uncle who was caring for a colony of outdoor cats. I’ve been working with Cat Coalition of the New South, Inc. to feed, vet, fix, & rehome these sweet babies. If you know of a barn in need of some mousers comment or DM.

And in horrifying news, Idaho's governor has signed the felony bathroom ban, with 5 year penalties for second offense bathroom usage, into law. This is the most significant criminalization of trans people to date. On trans day of visibility no less. It will require a new "Do not travel" warning.

Lieu: "Undocumented immigrants want nothing to do with the govt! To vote, you have to first register. How many undocumented immigrants are gonna go, 'Yes, I'm gonna give all my information to the govt that's maybe trying to deport me. No way!' This is a problem that doesn't exist."

DHS contract tracker has a map of the warehouses bought, canceled, & for sale to DHS for “processing centers”. It gives an overview of the waste of tax $ to purchase, barely refit, & turn these warehouses into places to hold people indefinitely, w/out due process. This is the $75B from the Big Bill.

What happened with protests to the Hanover Co, VA Board of Supervisors, comments, & such helped cancel approval of the proposed warehouse there, & got the owners to cancel th sale to 🧊. It’s worth watching what happened there & the others to see how to turn the others from 🟠 to 💚 on the map.

Hey folks, there’s a lot in the news about Hooman drawing down 700 🧊 folks from Minnesota, but that still leaves reportedly ~2300 to continue to brutalize the people. Last I heard not much has changed on the ground. It’s not good, it’s just less bad. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

A week or so ago we got a winter storm leaving what many call snowcrete, layers of snow and sleet forming a firm 2” icy layer. For many days I could walk on it without sinking in, but it had grit to not be slippery. This was Willow’s reaction to it.

NPR built a visual archive of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, showing exactly what happened through the lenses of the people who were there. In "Chapter 2: Stop the Steal," we look at how false claims of a stolen election mobilized Trump supporters.

What will happen to the tried and true base, and what will happen to the low propensity voters, regardless of the pundit squabbling?

Brynn Tannehill@brynntannehill.bsky.social

My latest at The New Republic: The fascist movement that is the GOP will not be affected by internecine squabbling of right wing pundits. People will continue to vote for them simply based on "vibes". My parents voted Trump x3, and only know who Carlson is. newrepublic.com/article/2044...

It’s time to regulate AI, because they won’t do it themselves, and in addition to future harm to our planet and people’s lungs, it’s killing people as suicide coaches when they use AI for therapy. Y’all, fucking stop using AI!

Wil Wheaton ❌👑@wilwheaton.net

Yeah, but at least it's an environmental catastrophe with absolutely no regulation, so a handful of dirtbags can have even more money they'll never be able to spend.

Poor Willow had a rough day yesterday, aggravating her neck injury from July, with a trip to the ER Vet for assessment and more meds. She’s resting well today, moving better, no more whining or yelps of pain, and a little less shrimped up around her neck with muscle relaxers.

She does have a follow up with her regular vet on Wed morning and I secured another last minute acupuncture appointment for her tomorrow afternoon, so those are both good. And props to the Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital in Charlottesville for their care and sending follow up to our vets.
