1. Your coworkers shouldn’t be the first humans to have read what you produce. Vetting the content is on you. 2. If you’re using AI, you have no excuse for the content being lengthy and verbose. Conciseness is a prompt away. (2/2)

That was supposed to be touching, not ticking.

Saw Project Hail Mary last night and really enjoyed it. I think they did a good job adapting it. Both ticking and funny.

How did the Olympic organizers put a Team Canada and a Team USA hockey game in the same timeslot. Really needing to multitask today.

@davidpierce.xyz listening to yesterday’s Vergecast with you mentioning a quest to find a new phone raised a question for me. Is there a workable way to dual phone if I’m not ready to give up my iPhone, but want to dabble in something else?

I’ve joined four meetings from a focus room at the office today. I’ve since found out that in two of them there were other participants sitting in adjacent focus rooms. :(

A little early Christmas present from work. I was due for a machine refresh and a new 15” Surface with a 12core Snapdragon X1E80100 ARM64 CPU, 64GB RAM and 1TB SSD was delivered today. All set up now, and I’m excited to see how the battery holds up through a day in the office when I go back in Jan.

@scalzi.com I saw recently that you wrote a summary of the Old Man’s War series. About to start The Shattering Peace, and now I can’t find it. Can you share a link, and maybe put it on whatever?

#rustlang docs are live on Microsoft Learn: aka.ms/rust/docs These expand on #AzureSDK examples with more user scenarios and more to come. While we always want our crate READMEs to be helpful, we also want them to be concise. Of course, there's more information and many doc examples on docs.rs

aka.msAzure for Rust developers - Rust on AzureGet started developing with Rust on Azure using services like Azure Functions, Key Vault, Messaging, Identity, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and the Azure SDK for Rust.

People who are good at photography stuff - I have very few pictures of my mom. One of the best is an iPhone shot from 2017, but it’s backlit. Any tips to help make it better to print?

OMG - almost 2 years after I bought them, I *finally* managed to get my Nanoleaf bulbs to connect to my Home Assistant Sky Connect with Open Thread Border Router. Getting thread credentials synced between iOS and HA has been a PITA.

Arrived in NYC as part of our Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal/Boston/NYC/DC road trip and the location based ads here in Manhattan are out of control! So many ads for things to do here it’s all I see.

Interesting. Instagram now goes into a loop prompting me to allow targeting from ad partners. If I opt out and confirm, it just pops the modal prompt back up. No more insta for me I guess.
