Amazing tips here! I'll add one more, for folks who are not facing food insecurity: DONATE MONEY TO FOOD BANKS, and keep doing it! I set up a monthly donation to Feed America. Donate money not food, because food banks are better than you at buying food cheap (they can buy wholesale in bulk, etc)

Reminder to NOT do this. PayPal isn't a bank. It can and does steal money from PayPal accounts for no reason, and there's no recourse to get it back. It's 100% legal for PayPal to rob you. A functional gov't would stop this shit, but alas, the best we can do is keep warning each other about it.

The other day I wondered why my salt said "iodized" on it so I googled it. Turns out iodine deficiency, which is real nasty, affects 2 billion people worldwide. Adding iodine to salt solves that problem for only $0.05/person/yr! Pretty hard to organize that sort of thing without a government though.

I lost a relative in a mass shooting by a dishonorably discharged military guy with multiple arrests for violent crimes. Despite that, he purchased a gun legally, which Charlie Kirk supported. So I'm glad [redacted] It's redacted bc bsky suspended my account for finishing that sentence. Just sayin

This past week work sent me to the middle of bumfuck nowhere western florida way up on the panhandle, and my Bad Dragon hat has been recognized more here than anywhere else I've been. Shoutout especially to the grizzled old dude in a rural Lowes who recognized it lol
