"Polanski, who is trying to take Keir Starmer’s former seat from Labour, described the contest as “probably 50/50 right now” and “really on a knife edge”." Say what you like about Zack, but he's obviously not a betting man! [BF has Labour at 90% probability] www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Does anyone remember Trump's meme crypto coin? Currently down 83% over the past year and 96% from its high. His supposedly serious crypto World Liberty Financial down 76% from launch last Sept. Trump Media & Technology stock down 90% from high. So much winning!

Since Trump claims that the Iranians have no military capability left, I assume he will be visting Tehran tomorrow. No? Why Not? Surely President Bone-Spurs isn't an abject coward??

I also recommend watching this. Ignore the fact he's Labour and they're failing. Listen to the man. Honestly, I found myself wishing he could be PM by 3pm tomorrow. youtu.be/1EQmShm3x4I?...

General Carsten Breuer: Culmination point is 2029. There's a possibility for Russia to conduct a major war against a NATO country in 2029. As military officer, I have to say: we have to be prepared for this. We have to plan and think in a worst-case scenario — and this is one of mine.

Can anyone explain why www.theguardian.com/politics/202... would be difficult to implement? Seems to me you could just have any donations that do not come in GBP from a UK bank account subject to positive proof of eligibility before a party can accept them (burden of proof on the accepting party)

Just started a listen to my extensive ripped music collection using album shuffle. First two picks are Hawkwind's 50th anniversary remix of 'Space Ritual' and Peter Hammill's 1999 reworking of his 'Fall of the House of Usher'. I'm not even remotely surprised.

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day. As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time. At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.

I see that Trump's meme coin is hitting new lows. Since the only reason for it having any value at all is support for Trump, a belief that such support will be higher in the future or that owning it could provide access to someone with lasting power, this is probably significant.

I see that DJT is issuing $2.5bn (yes, billion!) of stock so it can buy bitcoin. Got to wonder why the purchasers don't just buy bitcoin themselves. I also note that FRGT that said it was buying $TRUMP meme coin has absolutely tanked. Not saying the same will happen to DJT... OK, yes, I am.

Not done a giveaway in a while, so if anyone wants a 12x8 Severance print like/repost/follow and I'll pick a winner in a few days. If you don't want to risk not getting it you could simply buy a copy of course.

The start of this week was wild. Lots of people in Westminster got completely carried away with Tory wishful thinking that Rachel Reeves was about to be replaced. Why did this obviously daft idea get taken seriously? I've figured it out. I blame the noobs. 🧵

Let's keep the joy going, I've got another 6x8 print sat here, just Follow, Like and Repost to be in with a chance of winning Pat Butcher from Ghosts. The lucky so-and-so will be chosen Monday morning.

Deactivated my account at the other place this morning. I hate to think how toxic it will now become, especially once Musk starts targetting other democracies. God help us all.

You are up to date.
