If you love animals, especially horses, watch this film about the capture, abuse and deliberate slaughter of wild horses by the Bureau of Land Management. Their heinous cruelty will make you cry! 😭 Watch "Blue Zeus" on Prime Video. Photo of beautiful wild horse, Blue Zeus! 😍

So fired up to be a part of the team behind Moms Club. Thanks for the great review @jennycohn.bsky.social

Wow. I just previewed “Moms Club,” an amazing doc re the astroturfed SoCal school board wars & the moms fighting back. Jaw-dropping—especially where they infiltrate a meeting of the CNP, the secretive Christian Right umbrella driving the school board wars. Private May 15 screening link in post 2. 1/

Reporter: “If you could say something to Trump, what would it be?” PA voter: “You're a worthless pile of shit.” Reporter: “How many times did you vote for him?” PA voter: “Three times. That was my bad. Apparently I'm an idiot.”

America: Did you order the code Red? Hegseth: YOU’RE GODDAM RIGHT I DID! America: Uhm, it’s a crime. Hegseth: Ok, someone else ordered the Code Red.

More of this! This is how to get through to people. They are STEALING from you! They are stealing your health care, cancer cures, roads and bridges, public transit, and eventually your social security all to fund tax breaks for the super rich.

Much attention has rightly been paid to the sheer strangeness of RFK Jr. But as the person now in charge of our public health, what really matters - more than the theatrics or trolling - is what he is taking away from us.

You can read the full essay here. If you're not a subscriber, I hope you'll become one (free or paid). We have nothing less than a country to save--and it takes all of us building community and opposing this hateful regime. 9/9 www.americaamerica.news/p/its-villai...

americaamerica.newsIt's Villains All the TimeWe were warned by Washington, Lincoln and others. Now we must oppose this authoritarian regime, firmly voice our commitment to the Constitution and rule of law—and assert what it means to be American.

It’s hard to break through RFK’s force field of bullshit & show the public how insane he really is, but he said, under oath, that 3 out of 4 children today have chronic illnesses. Really? 75%? Does that sound remotely right? 30 out of 40 kids in an average playground are sick? I call bullshit.

I’d go one further and say the gradual moral collapse of our society and our politics is a direct product of the growing social norm where you cannot impute bad faith or immoral motive on people and institutions who clearly exhibit both.

i'm often accused of being uncivil for my willingness to go at people's character but it is not my fault i live in an age where some of our most prominent commentators clearly believe in nothing

The energy provisions in the Republicans' One Big Horrible Bill are truly so bad! Who wants this? The country's automakers don't want it. Electric utilities don't want it. Data center developers don't want it. Manufacturers in energy intensive industries don't want it. 🔌💡

STEP ONE: Reform the Democratic party with new leadership and make way for a new generation of leaders free from billionaire control. STEP TWO: Take America back from the fascists.

Juneteenth is the perfect moment to remind everyone of two facts: 1. Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. 2. Those who prevent history from being taught are plotting to repeat it. Read this out loud. Read it again. Then teach it to your kids.

Let me tell you something... we used to shame people for being surrounded by answers and yet continuing to scream about the questions

The GOP is already a dictatorship and not representative democracy.

Goldman: "Think about whether any of us want to vote a certain way but bc we fear for our personal safety, we decide to vote differently. We are no longer representing our constituents. We are representing something else more like the bully threatening us. That is more like Vladimir Putin operates"

The country is in a classic abusive relationship with Trump. He created a massive crisis, wiping out $6Tr of market value, terrifying everyone, then got scared, reversed course and now wants credit for creating a massive one day $2Tr increase. Sure, we are still down $4Tr, but Trump saved the day!
