All it takes is a few bad groups to mess up an otherwise good Halloween. Plenty of very nice kids and parents with great costumes but then that one group shows up and tries to empty the bowl right in front of you with the parents encouraging it.

As much as I want to like the Ubiquiti UNAS, it is horribly slow. The latest update feels like it's so much worse now. Anyone else having this problem?

Working in the yard after troubleshooting servers all day is zen for me. I can turn my brain off and do what I need. Today included trying Jerry Baker’s home made fertilizer. I’ve got a week and a half of rain coming my way starting tomorrow so it was the perfect day to give it a shot.

The Economist ran this story this week. Yes...they are coming for veterans benefits. No one voted to destroy the VA or the benefits that our 15 million living veterans receive. Just 6% of Americans have served and these fuckers are coming for our hard earned benefits.

"Critical Acclaim" by Avenged Sevenfold just seems appropriate again. I can see this being in high rotation for the next 4 years.

The thing about Twitter versus Bluesky is that the right needs liberals on Twitter to make it feel worthwhile, whereas the left doesn’t need conservatives on Bluesky to make it feel worthwhile.
