BBC platforms corrupt racist friend of Trump and Putin again and again and again.

Alex Andreou@sturdyalex.bsky.social

BBC News just interrupted its coverage to go, live, to Nigel Farage - a man with no contitutional standing in our setup - responding to the budget - a document which nobody has seen yet. WHY

Brexit was Russia "tacking back control" using Farage, Banks and Johnson to serve Putin's interests

Anti-Reform@antireform.bsky.social

How ironic that the Brexit campaign for British people to "take back control" was in part funded and orchestrated from Moscow using Russian social media bots which tech billionaires say they are unable to control meme via Steve Benson

Realistically it will only take one or two big countries banning these platforms for them to stop doing it. Personally I'd like to see Brazil post some evidence of Metas interference. The evidence of algorithms designed to hurt kids should already have seen most of the world reject it.

The evidence of Metas negligence in Myanmar leading to the genocide of the Rohingya should've been enough, but these companies can get away with murder it seems.

President Lula to regulate Meta after the company manipulated elections in Brazil

Adam Schwarz@adamjschwarz.bsky.social

Lula: "We had to overcome foreign interference through digital platforms, which we will have to regulate. A crime in the digital world must be treated the same as a crime in the real world. We cannot have monstrous companies earning millions... not paying taxes... wanting to steer elections."

It takes a lot of humans to conduct time-and-motion studies of human working processes to train machines to replace some of the human processes with machines & it still takes many more humans to feed the machines and maintain them, not to mention the humans needed to design and build the machines.

It’s the biggest electoral defeat the far right has ever suffered anywhere in the world. A historic defeat at the ballot box that shows the far right’s advance is not inevitable. Brazil will light the way! ✊🏽🇧🇷

None of us should forget this. Meta should be subjected to corporate death penalty and permanently broken up into small pieces.
