#WIPSnips October 27 "spooky" From the short story, The Most Haunted House in Australia. Glen is a former art house director in a career slough, who is reduced to directing a low budget ghost hunter 'reality' show, Haunted Australia. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Share a SCARY movie title that begins with the letter “S” 🎥 S is for… Suspiria 🖤

#WIPSnips October 26th is "claustrophobia" From The Writing Machine Nick's phobia about locked doors is a little like claustrophobia. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Millions have served, been wounded, or died so that we can be free of fascism. Those who remain took that same oath. Yet, there's a cult that's committed to creating a monarchy, segregated & devoid of common decency where women & children are exploited & the rest hated for opposing them!

#WIPSnips October 25 "insert" I've been so busy I've missed the last two. But since this us a WIP I can write what I like. So here's rattled, false and insert in one snippet. It may or may not reach the final draft. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#AwesomeCharacters Thonas is charming, funny, intelligent and knows lots of interesting things. As long as he didn't take over my mind and make me commit unspeakable acts of violence in furtherance of his plan for world domination, it would be a very enjoyable journey.

#WIPSnips October 22 "equate" (equalled) I'm feeling in a silly mood. Here is my short story "Every Story Needs a Strong Beginning" #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips Hard to do without spoilers. Here's my best attempt

G'morning #WIPsnips! Apologies for missing yesterday, it was not a good day but i'm back now. Also *maybe scary dark forest* vibe scene here. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 21 "breeze" From Australian of the Year #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#LitHodgepodge I have fun with the "2 macho men bond over road trip in iconic muscle car through epic landscape" trope. One tells the other off for flirting with him, saying, "That sort of thing is supposed to be in the subtext."

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

why wont my degenerate faggot son talk to me, i've never done anything but demean him. must be those nasty little cocksucker therapists, there's no other answer.

#WIPSnips October 20 "peddle" I missed the "friend" prompt, so this has "friend" and "peddle", to catch me up. 😃 From Modified Rapture. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 18 "autumn" #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

G'morning #WIPSnips! I have quite a bit of autumn in this WIP related to a specific character. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#AwesomeCharacters Taliesin is the only character young enough to go guising and he has a particular advantage that his Uncle Daryl is best friends with a cult horror movie director who just loves Halloween.

G'morning #WIPsnips. All this getup is missing is some wide shoulders, a ridiculously wide brimmed hat of the same colour with a few feathers sticking out of it and a green mask. IYKYK. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

The cover, from initial sketch to nearly final artwork. Archie (left) Daryl (right)

#WIPSnips October 17 "suit" Dancing in motion capture suits isn't easy. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Lambhill Stables on the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow. This was one of a number stables built to the same classical design (similar to that used for Canal House at Speirs Wharf) along the canal in the early 1800s. Cont./ #glasgow #lambhill #architecture #forthandclydecanal

#AwesomeCharacters Chrissie, whose disability robs her of the ability to walk, will visit war zones and remote famine stricken regions to carry out her photo journalistic assignments.

G'morning #WIPSnips! Had to look desperately for a synonym, found it then also found a nice place to actually edit the word in, so nice snip all around. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#Octember 16 Casey could probably create an alarming special effect from found materials at short notice to provide a diversion. For example she could make a pile of discarded lumber seem to come alive as a giant spider. It would be, in reality, an elaborate stick puppet - her speciality.

#WIPSnips October 16 "dazzle" From A Morris Minor on the Moon #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 15 "pass" From: Music the Devil Cannot Hear An order of monks, led by an insane priest, charges Tom with just about everything that has gone wrong for England since the Black Monday hail storm of 1360 which happened the day he was born. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

G'morning #WIPSnips! Some more worldbuilding delivered by the students to explain to a clueless Milly about her newly discovered nature. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Fair enough. It’s time to stop the bots!

I'm surprised that so many people don't know this.

G'morning #WIPSnips! Part of Milly's job interview segment, a detail she quickly dismisses as impossible and is explained away by Irena shortly after this. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 13 "blue" From The Saxaphone Teacher #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Please try to remember the 12th of #Octember! Daryl would challenge the Devil to a fiddle playing contest. The Devil would offer Daryl anything he wants if he will only stop playing.

G'morning #WIPSnips! Milly catches some of the students poking at something they shouldn't be, all while the manor is in crisis mode, so there are better times for this, not now. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

On BBC, a “Protect the Dolls” t shirt is erased. In the US, opening of a revered comedy show says women in the gym are dressed like whores - and still we hear talk of the oppression by “the woke” - to hell with every comic that has monetised their base by pretending they’re a free speech rebel

#WIPSnips October 12 "pulse" (heartbeat) From Australian of the Year #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 11 "cousin" From Australian of the Year Callum is late for Liberty's campaign launch. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 10 "fuzzy" (hazy) From Australian of the Year #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 9 "raid" RAID: Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks From Australian of the Year #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

It should come as no surprise that a mean, angry man married to an unpleasant kook is not in favor of allowing other people to be in happy marriages. But Christian Nationalists are notorious busybodies.

G'morning #WIPSnips! Milly and the gang being in a spot of bother after taking off in pursuit of a big gribbly that kidnapped one of them. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#WIPSnips October 8 "lizard" From Australian of the Year Gary, at his lowest ebb, has his spirits lifted in an unexpected way. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#LitHodgepodge 7 The Dogsbody is told from several viewpoints. In the chapter "Honour, Courage, Country" a school bully, now grown up and unremorseful, tells how he and his friends violently assaulted a gay student in an elite private school.

Every now and then, I come across a reminder of the ordinary people who get caught up in historic events. This is a monument to Ella Osbourne in the city's Craigton Cemetery. Cont./ #glasgow #wwi #memorial #sslusitania

This monument was erected by Ella's husband, and features a verse from the Tennyson poem Break, Break, Break. #glasgow #wwi #memorial #sslusitania

#Octember 7 Daryl, if he did not live in a non-supernatural universe, might well entice a pixie, as he resembles one, due to an unusual genetic condition and not, as his grandmother claims, because he is a changeling.
