Apropos of nothing, if you're considering switching from a recently deprecated browser and want to try Firefox, I just landed `Copy Tab URL` in nightly - it's not bound by default but a quick visit to `about:keyboard` will let you set it, and also take a glance at the other neat shortcuts we have.

Yay, with the 27.0.1 update, macOS is almost usable now! Well, apart from the “which one of the black boxes is the space you’re looking for?” game. It’s still there 🫠

The browser’s main thread is expensive. Sunhyoup Lee explains how to fit JavaScript, styles, layout, and events into 10 milliseconds per frame: split long tasks and yield, batch frequent events, or move work to the compositor or a Worker. #performance #js kciter.so/posts/the-...

You don’t need initial-scale in your HTML. Vale and ppk 🇪🇺 published the same finding hours apart: the <meta name="viewport"> element only needs width=device-width, and Safari no longer needs the hint. #html #browser vale.rocks/micros/20... quirksmode.org/quirk...

Make your logo brighter than white. Chris Bennett built a tool that turns a logo into a gain-map JPEG, so the colors you pick shine up to 7.5 times brighter than plain white on HDR screens and stay a normal JPEG everywhere else. #color #image www.soverybright.com/

I finally have something to share here. How often do you copy something, then edit it before pasting it? Remove tracking parameters, shorten a URL, clean up text, turn a bullet list into Markdown list… I built Clipboard Transformer for that: github.com/jag-k/clipbo... #OpenSource #Productivity

I’m cursed to see faux bold rendering when font-weight is cranked higher than the included font actually supports. I wish browser DevTools would flag it in the console. Makes me wonder if this could be caught by a linter 🤔
