This was such a great game, and the artwork was spot on.

Feels like they got this the wrong way round - a light punishment for the offender, whilst the club received an extremely high penalty.

Have a podcast? Want to start one? The show.fm 'Founders' offer is three years of our Studio plan. It includes podcast hosting, analytics, and some AI tools for managing episodes. There's way more as well. We'd rather be funded by 100 podcasters than one investor. show.fm/founders

There are so many applications turned down for speaking slots each year. I know people that have had to apply multiple times to get on the stage - why not just schedule more sessions? Run them shorter if need be; most sessions don't need to be 40 mins in length anyway.

And make sure that we provide every type of attendee with something to take away - whether you're a beginner, an expert, a plugin author, a marketer, an agency, a content admin. Fill their days. Give them a reason to attend. Ensure that they can't NOT attend.

If WCEU wants to reverse attendance figures and continue to lead the conversation, I think it needs to consider what conference attendees want and need right now.

Personally, I am less bothered about the location and more worried about the content. It needs to be ramped up by a factor 2-3x. And it's possible to do this.

And whilst it is good that the conference rotates host city, allowing us to explore new places, it's a different approach to other major conferences where this just doesn't happen - which leads to challenges of awareness, access and more difficulties for attendees.

And a couple of things strike me. 1. WCEU doesn't always help itself with the choice of locations I felt that attendance in Switzerland was in part due to the cost of the country. This isn't a reason not to host somewhere, but I think it had an impact.

We shipped state/region geolocation in PersonalizeWP this week and I keep thinking of new use cases. Regional salary benchmarks on job sites. Location-relevant case studies. Local impact stories for charities. What would you build with it? personalizewp.com/blog/announ...

Missed PressConf last week. The one WordPress event where talks don't get recorded, which is exactly why the conversations are worth having. Need to make next year happen. Anyone there want to share the highlights?

A few years ago, I finally decided to be honest with myself: I just don't like IPAs much. So I quit trying. Just give me a nice clean light pilsner, a day beer, a post-mowing-the-lawn beer, a hydrating beer, an adjacent-to-water beer. I am what I am.

DOOM fully rendered in CSS. Every surface is a <div> that has a background image, with a clipping path with 3D transforms applied. Of course CSS does not have a movable camera, so we rotate and translate the scene around the user.
