I sat down over the weekend, to write a bit about what 10 years of patience actually buys you. The good, the messy, and the parts that surprised me. It’s a longer read, but I’m proud of this one and maybe it helps other founders along the way. www.saismo.at/writing/10y

saismo.at10 Years of appointmed: What Patience Actually Buys You – Slow & Steady by Patrik Inzinger10 years of building slowly: 7-figure revenue, 1% annual churn, 8-person team. What patience actually buys you when you have the patience to build right.

One more thought before boarding my flight back home: Together, these people design and build products for Billions (with a B!) of people. Incredibly grateful to be even a tiny part of this. Blows my mind. 🤯

Immigration in Bangkok: Almost two hours this time. Immigration in Tokyo: 15min. Touchdown to hotel in almost under an hour. I’d say that’s a very good start Japan! 🇯🇵 👏

Your worst customers demand discounts and other special prices. They either aren’t seeing the value, or they’re not building a respectful two-way relationship. (1/5)

Left my Macbook behind for the first time in ~16 years for this trip. Feels weird, but deserved after grinding this long with only a few days off at a time. First multi-week break ever since going full-time on my own almost 20 years ago. 👴🫠

At scale, but even with a single team of 6, if you’re not completely aligned, then everyone is moving in different directions, so the group as a whole is moving slowly compared to what it could be. Alignment is an accelerant.

This week we hit 10 years. It’s been one hell of a journey, full of wins, devastating setbacks, and everything in between. Hard to believe we made it here and excited for what’s next. 🍰 🍾

My Bose QC35 won't turn off anymore. Battery is _always_ dead. 😢😢 What are the absolute best noise-cancelling headphones right now? Still Bose? Sony? Something entirely different? 🤔 (please don't recommend Airpods Max)

That partly solves my problem of finding interesting content on BlueSky. Great feed!

I wish there were a way to import specific people from X so I can see their posts here on BlueSky. I still have so many friends and followers who haven't moved over (yet?). 😔

The best designers are exceptional systems thinkers, which makes them dangerous product builders in 2026.

Surprised to say, but Stranger Things is one of those shows that nailed the finale. It’s not perfect, but nowhere near the clusterfuck that was Game of Thrones. Good job 👏

The official numbers are in. We were able to grow recurring revenue by over 30% again in 2025 (33.4% to be exact). All that without expanding the team or significantly increasing our spending on ads. Not bad for a tiny bootstrapped company in the current market. 💪🍾

Do we refactor messy code or ship features customers want? Fix the architecture or close deals? Every feature is a promise to maintain it forever. Easy to add, incredibly hard to remove. Customers see features and assume more is always better. 1/2

saismo.atChoosing Between Visible and Invisible Work – Slow & Steady by Patrik InzingerEvery new feature adds complexity. Every refactor is invisible. My constant struggle choosing between what customers see and what actually matters.

Meanwhile, we just spent months refactoring our invoicing system. Zero visible changes. Nobody will notice. But it was absolutely necessary. I used to think this tension meant I was doing something wrong. Read more: www.saismo.at/writing/vi 2/2

My day is a rollercoaster so far. Our entire marketing website infrastructure went down briefly, for reasons we couldn’t figure out yet. 🫠 A new potential deal with a 30+ therapist group practice right before Christmas. 🥳

I kinda have the urge to build a proper FlightLog app for GA pilots that‘s EASA compliant with _superb_ user experience. Am I too old to start vibe coding? I wouldn‘t even know where to begin… 🫠😅

We noticed a rising interest regarding the use of AI in browsers. To be clear about our position on this: Zen currently is disabling all AI features included in Firefox and will continue to do so.
