Just when i thought digging for tech answers on reddit couldnt get more insufferable.. trying to set up this faux tv network thing, everyone is like "erm just use claude heheh" How bout i claude your eyes out with my bare hands

It's all results with these people. it's pathetic. As frusterating and trial-and-erroy this thing has been to set up, i feel smarter because of the experience. How is that not valuable to these people?

if you stay I love mentally ill lesbians! A short and sweet little emotional trip! The PC98/MSX style is really nice too! I've spent probably an embarrassing amount of time playing archived PC98 dating sims, so I can say this is really on point! Considering it's free and an hour long; give it a go!

This seems like he was put in a spot where this game wasn't give a proper budget or timeline without the use of Ai. As if the industry is just assuming you'll use it. But I feel the huge backlash on Level5 recently has made studios a scared.

I'm sure they were willing to use Ai (unfortunately) if it made sure the game was done in a time that the studio approved of. But with how much backlash they're assumed to get, especially in the visual novel scene; they prolly opted to just can it instead. Explains the "fighting a losing battle"

DawN
@paperdawn.art

I think this indie studio route is perfect. Uchikoshi has always been a man for his fans. Regardless of his feelings about Ai, he will listen to what his fans want. And 99.9% of them DONT want ai. If this studio gives him the freedom and time to create without it, he won't use it. I'm all for that!

uchikoshi's comments here will be read about ai specifically but they really should be considered in the context of what this industry squeeze is doing to labour and who the winners/losers of indie sustainability in 2026 are

dang League classic is being removed in January. I had a feeling that'd happen at some point. I've been having a blast playing it, that's a real shame. Most of the players in Classic queue are really chill. It's been such a positive experience for me and my friends.

total longshot question, does anyone have experience getting a Guncon 2 controller working on a PVM? I cannot for the life of me, figure it out. I have tried recommended splitters, tried every combination of ports on this TV and it just loses signal anytime it's connected. I don't get it...
