Wow everyone, thank you for the reposts! I was away for about a week, as I was busy with all the demands that comes with closing out the school year. I had no idea how much love this image was getting, and I am so grateful to the BlueSky community! 🩷

Agree totally, Stephanie. I once wanted to entitle a chapter on presidential abuse of secrecy "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire." Unfortunately, it was rejected.

This post is unavailable.

Yet again, AOC nails it.

PabloReports: Ted Cruz called you a parasite and disparaged your work as a bartender. AOC: I think it’s funny that he’s been taking a government paycheck for 23 years but has the audacity to criticize someone who has come from a family that had to work their way up and earn their place here.

Okay, I don't dance by the sea. But the wisdom of this observation is undeniable. I need to remember this. In fact, I am sharing it not only for those who could benefit from it, but also so I have it readily available when I need to be reminded.

Life naturally comes with difficulties, the way oceans come with tides and gardens come with weeds. The mistake is to think that struggle is a sign you are doing life wrong.

If this is real, it is amazing.

Witness the mesmerizing sea angel (*Clione* sp.), a real-life creature gliding beneath the ice of the White Sea. Captured by Alexander Semenov, this beauty is no illusion.

Friendly reminder that if you grew up listening to Rage Against The Machine and later became MAGA, then you didn't listen to Rage Against The Machine very well.

I was going to hit "love" on this wonderful story. But I decided to share it, in case someone else needs to see it. Thank you @niallharbison.bsky.social

Sonny was left behind by his old family. He waited but they never came back. He got sick but he never stopped waiting. After saving him and building him back up we found Sonny a new family. Look at what it means to him now to belong somewhere again!

I want to go.

One of the best bookshops I've ever visited at the gradel I listed former Wool Exchange, Bradford - Built in the spirit of the great Flemish cloth halls — architecture not merely as utility, but as something capable of raising the human spirit.

I love this. It provided some solidity to my racing mind. Thank you Danielle.

Some believe God to be a construct of consciousness, a need to give purpose to the infinite. I’d more say we’re a construct of God’s consciousness, a need to give purpose to the chaos. #god #consciousness #purpose #chaos #infinite

Love her. My favorite has to be Sneakers. Her reaction at the end when James Earl Jones asks what she wants is priceless.

Happy 74th birthday to Mary McDonnell, who has always understood the assignment.

Not a fan of Penn State. Not a fan of the Ravens. But I am a fan of this guy. I hope he has a great career. What class.

The Baltimore Ravens just drafted this guy in the 1st round yesterday. Here’s why. Original post

Yes. This.

This is important. “More than 100 retired NASA astronauts have banded together to form a new nonpartisan organization…its members “believe deeply in the principles that have propelled our nation for 250 years,” such as the rule of law, checks and balances and the peaceful transition of power.”

Everybody remembers "Is it safe," as well they should. But there is so much more to this performance. The scene where he goes from almost pleading with Roy Scheider to out of nowhere stabbing him in front of the fountain is stunning. Amazing performance. Amazing film.

LAURENCE OLIVIER underwent treatment for cancer during filming, which affected his memory so badly he could barely remember more than one or two lines at a time. Even so, his superb performance earned him an Oscar nomination & won him a Golden Globe. MARATHON MAN (1976)

I find this mesmerizing.

This painting, titled "L'escalier" (The Staircase), was created by French painter Marc Chalmé, known for his mastery of shadow and light, often compared to Vermeer. His work captures "still light" in landscapes, still lifes, and scenes like this.
