"So, whatcha got down there, hon?"

Doctors and nurses are voicing their objections. I-638 would require EVERY girl who wants to participate in sports to go through biological sex verification. That means expensive, invasive, and utterly gross examinations. Protect our kids and let them play. Vote NO on I-638

In 1990, about 20 million animals a year were euthanized in kill shelters. Today, over half the shelters in the US are designated no-kill and less than 500,000 animals are euthanized.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Apart from kin-based arrangements, business is the primary means by which humans organize themselves to get things done. It is an unusually fertile field for academic study, to which the business world is adamantly opposed. Business schools reject it vigorously.

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.

The amount of the annual federal subsidy that has ended is approximately equal to the capital cost of two Waymo vehicles. They cost something like $289,000 apiece.

I'm actually distraught over this. My wife and I have been able to get by without owning a car for nearly three years now, because we knew we could get an hourcar or an evie when we needed one, which has not been often. It's been liberating. But now I'll have to buy another fucking car. Shit.

Democrats defend "science," but what they really should be defending is "wissenschaft." No major social problems - from global warming to AI - can be solved without non-commercial research across multiple fields, including the social sciences and humanities. Really wish the party understood this.

Bike/pedestrian networks don't take 30 years to build. Stop accepting those timelines in your community. The best practices have been proven & they already exist. Safety should already be the #1 priority. The ROI is unbeatable. The timeline is a moral document and it shouldn't be generational.
