It's days like this I'm becoming more comfortable with the realization that I just hate the cold. I rather be miserable in 90F weather right now.

14 Sept

I was right, and I wasn't miserable.

I worry a little bit about AI witchhunting and I think there is a specific area where people might go too far with. So I have a website hosted with Namecheap. I hand coded the site personally. It offers a site designer you can use. I took a look and unfortunately it's an AI site designer.

View full thread

So I can see people who are making a site for their business using it and not being tech savvy and not really being fully aware of what they are using. Also I see people kinda mistaking a template site for AI, and also unfortunately lot of templates now are AI, sitting in this weird halfway place.

I realized recently when I was researching something while I was coming across a lot of AI slop articles/sites, I probably could have genuinely passed by legit info on a template designed site. Keep this in mind because AI is so widespread now I feel like some will be using it without awareness.

You basically tell it what to do and you have to deal with cleaning up after. Unfortunately NS didn't seem to have any another designer tool 'easily' available. I don't know about other services, some others like Wordpress do have proper builders.

Was thinking recently how a lot of times I enjoy MMOs not for the multiplayer experience, but when the game leaves you to your own devices. A mix of solitude and isolation. I play GW2 mostly alone. I enjoy some interaction and it's needed for some content. I just have this weird idea of a solo MMO.

It's been like 4 days and I'm still getting chills over these songs. Sanctuary has been unreal. I'm still not okay. Thank you Evanescence.

5 June

Evanescence just dropped their new album SANCTUARY and let me tell you that they dropped a NUKE. Amy woke and chose VIOLENCE! I have never been so blown away by their music. It's intense, defiant, mouthy, and deeply emotive.

The mask vs mask match was wrestling at its absolute finest. God we need more of this back. #AAA

It always amazes me sometimes when I find songs that are great to me and I find that they just have literally 2 guitar riffs in it total. Just brilliant stuff. The vocals tend to carry those song because of a strong melodic hook. Some great riffs often!

I wanna talk about MLB and the ABS. I love it and I'm glad it's bringing in fans. I think if they wanna keep the limited challenge system then I propose 3 failed challenges instead of two. I think batters shouldn't be allowed to trick the ump into a challenge (see Jeff McNeil).

Lastly I wanna see "game deciding" calls always be available to be challenged. Like a B9th 0-2 call in a 3-2 game. I don't want games decided on bad calls ever again.

Did game thing. I tried to keep it one game per category but I don't have that wide of a game history so I stopped that. I don't have a huge amount of mainstream game experiences but these all I have played and enjoyed. And yep Minecraft had a big personal impact. Met love of my life there. <3

Also it's really hard to decide what is underrated/overrated because to me it depends on the audience. I tried to think wide audience. I recommend playing Shadowrun Returns, especially Dragonfall (didn't have box art here sadly). Dragonfall had brilliant story. But didn't pass Dreamfall for me.

Hey Evanescence fans, a limited quantity of signed copies of "Echoes From The Void" issue 1 are now available for collectors! I *thoroughly* enjoyed collaborating on this inaugural issue in the graphic novel anthology for one of my all-time favorite bands. 💜 www.kellymckernan.com/shop?categor...

New Evanescence album SANCTUARY coming out June 5th! First single "Who Will You Follow" coming out midnight EST tonight!

There is a hell of a lot that goes into this but I was just thinking about how men's and women's professional sports teams don't really share names or aren't in one organization. It be interesting to see like, the womens division of the Lakers, or Knicks. Gets hella complicated with the gendered ...

hit homeruns out of most parks, they should be allowed to try (and its not impossible, really). Game strategy can flourish and be unique there. The men might definitely pick something up from it. Minor League and Major League is the same game played exactly the same. Many female talent are ...

actually at the skill level of some minor leagues. That was my rant. Later!

Of course there has to be the financial incentive to do so. While damn near all the sports team owners are fuckin cheapskates, they are in their right not to pursue investing in womens sports. But I do think making it feel like they are on common ground would be helpful.

The perception of them being at the same level is meaningful regardless. It's more respectful imo. A womens major league doesn't need to mean they are equal in talent to actual MLB. I say just set the rules and such exactly the same and let the game grow from that. Doesn't matter if they can't ....

team names like Bulls. Not gonna call them Cows ofc x.x. I just was thinking about the upcoming womens Pro Baseball League and how it would be great if some of the existing MLB teams owned a team in there, a womens division of the Yankees in a sense.

I just kind of realized something. There never was a X-Men Storm solo movie. She is a huge cultural icon! Like near Black Panther level! In the live action films all I remember her for is her shitty comment to Rogue.

25 Mar

For video game sequels I honestly don't want much I just want the story to continue it don't need to be all new and bigger and better. Literally can be the same game with a new campaign. There are so many games I wouldn't have cared at all if it was literally the same game.

re: WBC. As I understand it, Team USA is in a situation where their fate is going to be decided on two teams playing a certain way. I'm not sure I like this. It's one thing when your fate is set on two other teams competing against each other but when they can engineer your downfall it's unfair.

I actually tried the Big Arch at McD's the other day. I honestly wasn't impressed. Sauce was not quite the same as a Big Mac. At least there wasn't bread between the beef. But the beef was really meh and oddly not filling. A Quarter Pounder is far better. Get a double QPC.

Just found an extension for Firefox called "Bluesky Repost Hider". It lets you hide reposts from individual users. A missing feature. DRAMATICALLY improves my Bluesky experience. For the record I completely respect what other people repost (and don't ever change!) but some things just ain't for me.

I'm sorry but I never found Danhausen interesting. I'm sure he's funny but imo it's kinda just a novelty thing. For all the time I've seen him (since his AEW appearance), he looked like a regular dude in face paint and awkward tattoos that I would have thought was just a one time comedy act.

Thoughts on Mending in Minecraft. My opinion that I've been having for a while. If you remove mending make tools/armor/weapons not break when used up. Like in some mods tools don't go away forever. I rather "break" a tool, and repair it, then to lose it completely and have to remake it.

28 Feb

Like the whole reason for Mending for me is to be able to keep a tool for a very long time. I can accept having to repair it every once in a while if I don't lose it entirely. Enchanting is expensive and tedious. (Enchanting can be more expensive under this system, which I support.)

I'm probably the only one but I actually really like the Avatar movies. I rewatched the first one recently and the 2nd first time. I enjoyed the 2nd a lot. I like how they fleshed out the culture a lot more. Can never remember names lol. Great visuals of course. I'm looking forward to the 3rd.

5 Dec 2025

Here's an example of how dumb the YouTube algorithm can be. Happened to spot a video about how to learn a pinch harmonic on guitar. I more or less know how to already but hey it be fine to watch a refresher. Now I get a bunch of videos on the subject. Subject being a very specific guitar technique.

5 Dec 2025

Think about it. What if after watching the video I learned the skill? Then I had no need for more videos on that technique. Wouldn't the algorithm be better off serving more guitar technique videos instead of hundreds of random videos showing me how to the same thing. Ignore me just random thought.
