The stats are terrifying: If home prices tracked wages since 1971, starter homes would cost $138k. Instead, major institutions plan to own 40% of single-family rentals by 2030. We're being cornered into a corporate landlord trap. 🚩

True affordability isn't about passing wealth later; it’s protecting the daily expenses of working families. We need policy focused on making life sustainable today—better wages, stable costs & accessible care. https://loom.ly/8Oz6arQ

Big corps shouldn't get a free pass while Oregon families pay the price. Tina Kotek is pushing for accountability, consumer protections, & fairer utility costs. Oregon's future should work for the people who live here, not just the people who profit here.

Affordability isn't about estate taxes; it's about groceries & rent this month. The conversation must focus on systemic issues impacting working families—not just accumulated wealth. 🧾 Need a deep dive into Oregon's economic policy receipts? https://loom.ly/8Oz6arQ

We all know Drazan would have welcomed troops with open arms, to police our streets & silence us. Meanwhile we were wearing frog costumes & saying "hey, maybe stop killing people"....

What does voting for Drazan actually risk? ABORTION OREGON HEALTH PLAN VOTE BY MAIL NATIONAL GUARD Look at the record!

I used to think everyone grew up cataloging moods before words. Turns out some people really did just hear a beer can open & think, "Someone's having a beer."

Women are expected to risk their careers to report. Men are expected to survive a mildly uncomfortable meeting. Guess which one organizations call "too much."

You know what's funny? People call it "reading the room" now. When you're a kid, it's called figuring out whether tonight is going to be safe.

Growing up, six hundred miles was "1/2 day's drive." You left the keys in the ignition because replacing a broken window cost more than whatever was inside the truck.

I've seen this movie before. It's called "Trust us, the billionaires need the resources." The sequel is always the same: higher prices, fewer choices, and regular folks being told to tighten their belts.

The call for a statewide moratorium feels limited, especially when local leaders note development on private lands remains untouched by executive orders. Big tech growth is hitting rural Oregon hard, & state policy isn't enough to stop the sprawl. 😔 www.opb.org/article/2026...

Institutions often recruit people because they're effective. Then they get uncomfortable with the very qualities that made them effective.

Menopause has entered the GenX group chat & the world should know by now to give us space or we're going to wrench the steering wheel out the patriarchy's hands & steer the ship.

"If it's on the internet, it must be true." Cool. Then stop pretending you don't understand hyperbole when it's someone you disagree with.

Trump tore down the East Wing, then renamed the Kennedy Center after a court told him not to, and neither one cost him anything. He's finding out exactly how much he can get away with, one building at a time, before he moves on to something that touches you. #CorruptTrumpRegime

Everybody knows someone whose cousin was "making more on welfare than working." Funny how nobody ever seems to know anyone who actually tried it themselves.

Maternal health is about care *before*, during, & after the birth—& that means addressing access to transport, food, & reliable medical help. Policies can't just manage births; they have to fix systemic inequities first. ❤️ https://loom.ly/f5bsVMg

eugeneweekly.comA Long Road to Prenatal CareFor some pregnant people in Lane County, getting prenatal care is more than making an appointment. It can mean finding a way to travel over 30 miles to the nearest provider, taking time away from work…

I have looked at enough election data to know one thing: The electorate is not a math problem. It is a relationship problem. People remember who showed up.

I need people to understand something: When a kid finally says, 'This happened to me,' they are also saying: 'Nobody listened when I tried to tell you.' Those decades don't happen in a vacuum.

The least glamorous part of democracy is also the most important: answering emails making phone calls helping someone find their polling place showing up again after losing That’s how this works. Not vibes. Not tweets. Work.

It’s wild how Drazan aligns herself w outside political extremists who fundamentally undermine bodily autonomy & reproductive rights. She'd rather play into a national fringe agenda than respect our state laws. We deserve leadership that puts people first, always. 👇 dpo.org/news/as-trum...

I've spent my entire lifetime watching corporations convert shared resources into private revenue streams. Forgive me if I'm not eager to hand over more land, water & electricity because someone promised it'll trickle back.

I am old enough to remember when corporations told us they couldn’t afford to pay workers more. Then they bought back billions in stock. Turns out “we can’t afford it” has always been code for “we don’t think you’re the priority.”
