My god Pterodactyl and its supporting functionality is so bad. There's a new CVE every other week it feels like.

CVE-2026-52855 - wings Wings, a server management tool, accidentally shares sensitive information with users who can control certain settings. This could allow unauthorized users to access… Too many irrelevant or confusing CVEs? Use stackflag.com #wings #pterodactyl #Golang #CVE #infosec

I'm pretty confident that I've found a way to make Sprout support the following data-isolation approaches: ✅ Separate instance ✅ Shared instance ✅ Separate schemas ✅ Partitioning ✅ Discriminator ✅ Row-level-security In ANY combination, with different approaches per tenant! #multitenancy #laravel

This may quite honestly be the longest and most in-depth article I've ever written. Prepare yourselves for a brain dump of all data-isolation strategies for multitenanted web applications!

When reading a detailed piece of content for a complex topic, something that's quite long, how do you prefer to consume it? One big long page, or broken up into chunks? I'm not convinced the article format is working, especially with the #multitenancy stuff I'm writing.

I'm spending some time fully documenting the changes in Laravel version 13, 13.1 and 13.1.1 as a proof of concept. Ultimately, I'd like to provide detailed information about what is actually happened for each version. #laravel #opensource

I'm currently working on Sprout 2.0, which will have multi-database and domain support, as well as a whole host of additional supporting features! #laravel #multitenancy

My newest article is live! This is the most complex so far, and it's primarily informational. In it, I have a look at the different ways you can manually resolve services/dependencies in Laravel, and what the actual differences are. ollieread.com/articles/man...

This man has never written Go. We must protect him. We have it in our power to keep at least one pure programmer!

I've never written rust. 🦀 ... nor go (which I'd very much like to try), nor a native phone app. and I'm sure that only scratches the surface of things I don't know! I try to be okay with that. plus, it means there's always more fun stuff to learn or explore. roe.dev/ama #ama

If it looks like malware and smells like malware, it’s probably malware This makes me want to uninstall all of the meta apps

There is one particular piece of English grammar that I categorically despise. It's that I have to write "an HTTP" in formal writing, even though it makes it harder for me to read.

I decided that it can’t hurt to give it a go. The pattern is called “request-derived context”, and I’m almost finished with a somewhat formal definition.

I've “created” an architectural design pattern, that represents a widely known and understood concern. I'd like to publish it, but I'm struggling to find a way to do it, that doesn't make me feel like a presumptuous asshole. Who am I to claim that I have created a “concept”?

Just pushed an update including a little notice for Laravel Octane users, and what I hope to be a UX improvement on the code insights. They should now be more obvious without hovering.

I've added many new insights for this article. So far, it's just classes, methods and properties, though I'm considering adding some for things like Eloquent events.

One day, I'll finally build a billing/accounting system for contractors, that covers all the different things and different ways things are done.
