10 - A Chinese Ghost Story (1987) - Directed by Tony Ching Siu-Tung. This #movie has a little bit of everything. It's #horror, romance, comedy, and action. It has a great #haunted, #spooky atmosphere reminiscent of classic horror B-movies. Plus martial arts wuxia vibes! #filmsky #AChineseGhostStory

09 - #NightmareonElmStreet 3: #DreamWarriors (1987). This is where #FreddyKrueger really embraces the zanier aspects of dream logic. This is where we first get over-the-top Freddy. #filmsky #movies #horrormovies

08 - Buffet Infinity (2026) - Wow. This movie accurately portrays the liminal quality of late night television in the decades before streaming killed broadcast. Its story is told entirely through commercials. It's a higher tier weirdo movie and I loved it. #filmsky #BuffetInfinity #movies

07 - The 4th Man (1983) - A fashionable, bisexual, psycho-sexual thriller from #PaulVerhoeven. This popped up on a queer #horror list and the poster immediately piqued my interest. It's nice to see an 80s movie with an openly bisexual male character that's not a joke. #filmsky #thrillers #the4thman

06 - The Vampire Doll (1970) is the first part of Michio Yamamoto's Bloodthirsty Trilogy. This gothic horror #vampire movie has been on my list for years. I wish it had gone further with the spooky atmosphere. Maybe the next two will go further. #filmsky #halloween #thevampiredoll #michioyamamoto

05 - Happy #Halloween, Scooby Doo! Perhaps a bit of an atypical choice, but tonight I wanted to embrace child-like whimsy. I always loved #ScoobyDoo as a kid, so it was nice to check in with the gang. Plus, #Elvira! #filmsky #spooky #mistressofthedark

04 - #HouseOnHauntedHill is a fantastic #horror classic and a great way to set the stage for #Halloween. Great cast, excellent sets, good music all come together for a spooky watch! This year, I watched the #Elvira 40th Anniversary version of the movie. Same great movie, bonus Elvira! #filmsky

02 & 03 - #NightmareonElmStreet 2: Freddy's Revenge and Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street. People love to hate on #FreddysRevenge but I think it's genuinely a great horror movie. Scream, Queen gave me a deeper insight into Mark Patton and Elm Street 2. #halloween #horror #filmsky

01 - Starting off the #Halloween #movie season with #ItEnds. I saw a list of #horror movies that came out in theaters this year. This was the only one I hadn't seen. It wasn't what I was expecting but it worked for me. It's very character driven and deliberate, which I love. #filmsky

It's fucking exhausting living in a world were the worst fucking people imaginable suffer no consequences for heinous acts while immigrants and trans people are targeted for not being white, cis-gendered, and straight. America is a fucking cesspool. The people vote in favor of rapists & pedophiles!

I'm fucking disgusted by what happened at Cornell. Every single person on that text chain belongs in prison and completely castrated. Violent, stupid, vile men ruin every single aspect of our society. Fuck Cornell for letting these kids off without consequences. That's how we end up with Trumps.

Now, to put a delightful cap on my #Elvira celebration, re-reading @davallone.bsky.social & @daveacosta.bsky.social's campy, hilarious, fun #MistressoftheDark #comics. I love the @dynamitecomicshq.bsky.social run of Elvira comics and I hope for many more! (And more Classic Years omnibuses, please?)

I put up some simple #Halloween decorations and watched Elvira's Haunted Hills! @therealelvira.bsky.social stars in this delightful romp in the vein of Roger Corman/Vincent Price movies. Absolutely fantastic! #movies #elvirashauntedhills #Elvira

As has become my tradition, today I celebrated the birthday of #CassandraPeterson @therealelvira.bsky.social by watching episodes of #MovieMacabre and #MistressoftheDark. It's my official start to the #Halloween season, the best season! I just need to weather to cooperate.

It just occurred to me... The reason so many people believe AI "thinks for itself" is because they can't think for themselves. Any bit of regurgitated stolen information spit out at them seems very smart to people who lack intelligence, logic, reasoning, and creativity.

Sometimes you have a bad day. Then your cat comes and sits on you, purring with gusto, and things don't seem so bad.

I made friends with a #raccoon that came to take a dip on a hot day. They hung out in the backyard and even took food from my hands. I feel like a #druid connecting with wildlife. #cute #animals #nature

Lack of #empathy is one of the largest signs that an adult is immature, unintelligent, and/or easily manipulated. It blows my mind how many people view empathy as a weakness. Not having empathy is not a flex. It's a giant red flag and a detriment to all of society.

Today I got to see one of my #favoritemovies on the big screen for the first time. Seeing #HedwigAndTheAngryInch in my 40s allowed me to reflect on just how formative this movie was in developing my tastes in music and movies. #movies #film #hedwig #favorites

I'm so exhausted with all the weak, immature, loser men complaining about women in video games. Like... how much of a fucking loser do you have to be that the very existence of women causes you to go into such a panty-twisted rage? Grow up. Experience joy. #Castlevania and #GodofWar look awesome.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Corporations were never allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. They saw us as financially viable for a few years, covered their bigotry in rainbows, and funnelled our money into fiercely anti-LGBT legislation while setting the world ablaze for short-term profit.

There's no hope for the world. Everyone's blaming everyone else for all that is wrong with the world. Everyone's spreading misinformation based on their vibes. The people that are trying to help are being beaten down by the very people they're trying to help. The human experiment is a failure.

Sitting outside at lunch, appreciating the beautiful trees and sky while listening to @dessadarling.bsky.social. In this moment, it was easier to believe that things will probably be okay. #nature #sky #trees #clouds #dessa #music

Being on the cusp of a birthday always makes me reflect on the fact that I am wasting my life, accomplishing nothing of any real value, and not living up to whatever potential people may have seen in me in my youth. But hey, at least I'm not a fascist or a bigot.

After being a fan for almost 20 years, I finally had my first opportunity to see Florence and the Machine live! And with three of my favorite people, the week before my birthday. It was majestic and beautiful and everything I wanted. #florenceandthemachine #livemusic

While I'm on the subject of #BtVS, I will never understand why this show has not been properly remastered. It deserves to be preserved. Keep the series in its original aspect ratio, maintain the intended lighting and color grading, clean up the video & effects, and put it on blu-ray.

Today, for no reason, I watched the season 03 finale of #BuffytheVampireSlayer. I've seen every episode at least 25 times in my life but I still get excited and emotional. No matter how many times I watch the series, I never get tired of it. There is no other show like #Buffy.

#TheDearHunter put their North American Tour "documentary" on YouTube! I watched it when it streamed on Pillar and bought the blu-ray. It's not at all what I expected in the best possible ways. Comedy. Horror. #GLEEB I highly recommend for fans of #horror #bmovies. www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0fp...

Sometimes I dislike having thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Fuck this fucking Pedophile Regime of Thieves stealing from the citizens and destroying America's potential. Fuck every person in power who is letting a dementia ridden shit-stained pervert have free reign of the stolen wealth. Fuck racist, misogynistic, transphobic assholes. #NOKINGS

I'll say it again. I don't celebrate people's death or wish death on anyone. But when someone spent their life being a hateful bigot, I won't even pretend like their passing was a loss. Good riddance.

Depression has been kicking my ass lately and making it difficult to enjoy the things I normally enjoy. Today, I just grabbed an album, sat down, and listened to it. I really needed to connect with something, anything, and this helped. #DavidBowie - #MontreuxJazzFestival (2002) #vinyl #music

Yeah, I'm still not shopping at Target. They proved what I have always known: corporations are not our allies, even when they dress themselves in allyship. #BoycottTarget #imsofuckingtiredofcorporationsruiningeveryaspectoflife

Every time a #scalper attempts to resell merchandise at a higher than retail price, they should be forced to eat a large bowl of human shit. At least then, #scalpers would serve a purpose in society. #fuckscalpers #scalpersaretrash

I just finished reading a book I had been enjoying. But in the epilogue, they used the phrase "If I were going to turn gay..." and I immediately felt all my enthusiasm to read the rest of the series drain from my body and mind.

My #Kpop Kings are back! #EXO just released the MV for Crown off their new album #Reverxe! I'm always hyped for new EXO music. They're my favorites and all 9 members are my bias. #music #newmusic #koreanmusic #sehun #chanyeol #suho #kai #kyungsoo #lay #xiumin #chen #baekhyun

Wow. I've seen a real uptick in conservative grifters on Bluesky lately, spewing the same sort of pro-fascist, racist, misogynistic, transphobic bullshit they vomit everywhere else. Did they finally tire of yelling at their own bots on the platforms they devalued with their hatred?

It's hard to believe it has been ten years since #DavidBowie left the earthly plane. It was months before I listened to #Blackstar. I was a fan long before he passed but I've gotten much closer to #Bowie and his music in the past 10 years. Listening to ★ and #NoPlan feels more comforting now...

Today is the birthday of #DavidBowie. His art has meant so much to me and many others. He continues to be a large part of my life. These four are the albums I find myself drawn to the most often so I think of them as my favorites. Though I truly enjoy every single #Bowie album. #music #vinylsky

"I believe in you And in our hearts we know the truth And I believe in love And the darker it gets, the more I do Try and fill us with your hate and we will shine a light And the days will become endless And never, and never turn to night." - Florence Welch, 100 Years #florenceandthemachine

I got to hang out with my favorite @angelusbelm0nt.bsky.social and now the world is a better place.

Three songs live at The Current: m.youtube.com/watch?v=BO1V...

I've been seeing ads for that transphobic wizard boy game that shows how LGB... inclusive they are. Nobody is fooled. That #transphobicwoman is trying to build goodwill with "acceptable gays" before the new show. Don't fall for it. #EndTransphobia #JKRowlingIsVile #jkrowlingisevil #harrypottersucks

It has been over a year since I last read the main #WonderWoman #comic series (not enjoying the current run). I've been craving good Wonder Woman stories. I decided to revisit the 70s #TVseries. It's nice to see a kind, empathetic, unstoppable badass actually fighting against naziscum. #comicbooks

In my lifetime, I've watched conservatives claim to be patriots while tearing apart everything great about our country like the hypocrites they are. If you can so easily be bought and sold by tyrants and rich babies, you stand for nothing. Republicans are not American patriots. Drumpf is a traitor.

There has been so much great #music lately. The incredible @dessadarling.bsky.social just released a new two-track EP "Tough Call, Camelot." Dessa's music is always a gut-punch in the best possible way. Insightful, wise, humorous, and self aware. Dessawander.com #dessa #doomtree #independentmusic

The new Florence album has Buffy references. Florence has discussed Buffy and especially season six as her comfort watch. Now Sarah Michelle Gellar has posted about Florence. It's all come full circle. #buffythevampireslayer #florenceandthemachine

#FlorenceAndTheMachine - #EverybodyScream (2025) My preorders didn't come in yet. Thankfully there's a great indie record shop nearby. Managed to get both of the indie presses. I'll reserve judgement until further listens. Fav. Track - The Old Religion #nowplaying #music #vinylsky #vinylcommunity
