Ffs, Cooper! Stop trying to be Reform! Their people will never vote for you. Meanwhile people like me are deserting you in droves for the Lib Dems and Greens. And can we stop talking about immigration all the fucking time!

it's still the only thing i want to know about @andyburnham.bsky.social, is anyone asking him?

All I really want to know about Burnham is where does he stand on turning civil disobedience into terrorism, and will he reverse the current approach in which inciting damaging military hardware is punished far more severely than inciting far right riots? www.thekeymagazine.com/p/palestine-...

Hugely significant and a judgment some people who don’t understand that women also have Article 2, 3 and 8 rights could do with reading.

FWS win on prisons guidance in Scotland. Prison accommodation to be required for men and women based on biological sex. ECHR arguments considered and confer no right to be housed in prisons of the opposite biological sex. Not a surprising decision.

This worries me a lot, every campaign worth its salt has a “escalation strategy” of some kind, and surely a core principle of justice is that you should be judged on what you have done, not what you might do.

The reaction to guidance explaining men can't lawfully identify into women's facilities & services shows how much society values men's demands for validation over women's privacy, safety and dignity. And that's why I've become blunter in saying: NO. comment.press/answer-is-no

comment.pressI don't care about your male howls of anger. The answer is no.The reaction to guidance explaining that men can't lawfully identify into female-only spaces was inevitable, but depressing.

The law is enforceable. Toilet monitors have never been needed because most adults are mature enough to understand social norms and policies around the use of single-sex spaces, and are happy to abide by them.
