Was just thinking the other day about the concept of power? The song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" popped into my head. And I thought to myself. Do I want to rule the world? And it occurred to me that, yes, actually I do. youtu.be/aGCdLKXNF3w?...

Got the Flu AND Covid vaccine today, Shingles vaccine four days ago and a battery of other vaccines to register for a Healthcare program six months ago . All up to date. And damn glad of it. On top of that, I'm moving to Washington, one of last the sane vaccine states. I feel lucky.

Tonight's dinner for the backyard Raccoons and Opossums. Penne pasta with cream of mushroom soup topped with roasted chicken thighs. In other words, this is where you end up when you get old.

We've come fer yer daughters Jeb.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I cooked a fantastic meal of Chicken Schnitzel accompanied with Austrian Warm Potato Salad & Cucumber Salad, all thanks to Chef Jean-Pierre's YT video. I just love this guy. Wasn't easy...loads of work, but damn it was tasty youtu.be/OAztjRZvd_U?...

It's gonna be ok... And even if it isn't, this is a GREAT song. Very uplifting. Well, the religious symbolism at the end is cringe, but just ignore that. Excellent song. youtu.be/stW-OoR8pQY?...

I'm moving to Bellingham WA from Austin TX just as soon as I can get the hell outta here. Meanwhile, I subscribed to the Bellingham Herald, quaint old timey local newspaper founded in 1890. Anyway, they had this cool pic today. That's Mt. Baker. Canada is just up the road. Bye bye MAGA...

For my entire adult life, ever since visiting Europe at age 20, I have felt like a European trapped in an American body. Probably the best compliment I've ever received (and this has happened a number of times) is being told "You're not like most Americans".

I've spent a great deal of thinking time pondering "power" -- why people want it, why/how they get it, psychological profiles, societal constructs, and on and on. Brian Klass presents a comprehensive overview of all the facets of power in this VERY informative video. youtu.be/BJIOLTMitK4?...
