Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is significantly better than Switch Sports for those who don't want to play online. Island Battle is there for competition and even playing solo gives you points for gear. I still enjoy competition, but it's no longer forced for glamour.

Did a preliminary search for airfare for a future trip and when I looked at the total cost, this popped up. There is no way this should be legal, this isn't a saved search, I just did it a minute ago.

Michigan beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma beat Texas. Texas beat Ohio State. So by the laws of transivity, Michigan has already beaten Ohio State.

Hey @dragonroast.coffee question for ya. If I wanted to do half-caff blends of your coffees so I have less caffeine, which of your coffees would work best? Think of it like a multi-class challenge.

I should take solace in that I did get some miniatures completed during September. Finished my Amazons for Blood Bowl and a statue terrain piece for Kill Team

Boosting. I won't be at PAX U, but y'all might be.

OK, so: HYPOTHETICALLY, if I were to be accepted into the PAX Unplugged Rising Showcase, would anyone be open to helping me at the booth to demo Rough Roads? (boosts appreciated!)

Michigan threw that game away. Special teams giving up a TD. Red zone trips with no points. Having the ball late and crawling into a shell. The late hit on the defense. That's not winning football.

Sometimes what you need is the grace to handle things not going well around you. Patience when patience runs thin. Calm when calm is far away. To see failure not as failure, but as more room to grow.

Being told some of your car repair parts are back ordered until December sure is something.

Something I keep seeing is "why won't you vote for X?" when they have said something against a minority of any kind. Candidates have to earn votes. It's on the candidate to support minorities. Elections are popularity contests. Don't expect support if they won't support others. It's not free.

Headlines today are incorrect. They should say "A Nation Never Learns" 25 years ago, I saw Jews and Muslims scared of being attacked because of who they were. That's not gotten any better. It's arguable that it's gotten worse.

The end of the Michigan - Western Michigan game shouldn't make Michigan look bad. Either the Big Ten or NBC looks real bad depending on your opinion. Michigan looks bad from the rest of the game they played.

I'm not sure which is uglier, Michigan football jerseys or the offense. This is going to be a very long year if the O-line struggles and Underwood continues to be unable to read the defense.

I need to figure out a better way to absorb rule books in board games. I've been missing rules on new games on a regular basis. Not on purpose, but important stuff gets missed. While I can blame rule books, it's also in part my own fault.

Most recent example is dnup. Yes. A book with a small set of rules. I missed that you discard a set in front of you before you do your action. This makes the game play drastically different (it's fun in a much more difficult way). It's one line. I jumped right over it.

Another unimpressive month in board game plays. We did get Mechs vs. Minions back to the table so that's a positive #BGStats

Realized today that I've beaten zero new video games this year. I've come close with one, but put it down after I got real frustrated with a boss. New goal is to finish one new video game this year, have 4 months to do it.

It's wild to see names light up on the ESPN score bug when the person talks during sideline reports or rules commentary. Speedruns and randomizer runs have done this for years. I wonder who from those communities brought the idea to sports.

Make your favorite film sound as boring as possible without giving away the title: A chief technology officer is worried about keeping his spreadsheets private.

Curious how folks make their coffee. For me, I do pour overs with the occasional infusion. Beans are ground right before use. Specific tools are in the pic w/ alt text descriptions.

Got to sit in my Florida room and just read for a few hours. Enjoying the temps and the breeze of a Sunday afternoon.

Oh, professional football is back. *watches 3 minutes* Right, it's preseason. Can't call it actual football.

My body has been struggling due to ongoing issues, so my Friday night game sessions have been cancelled the last few weeks. My game plays plummeted in July. #BGStats

Feel bad for Bioware, Respawn, DICE, and the Sims devs and fans of their games, but EA getting purchased by the Saudis is really bad.

No Gen Con for me this year. Not a bad thing, my body isn't excited for me to travel at the moment. Do miss the folks I'd only get to see there, but it sounds like many of ya aren't going as well.

Can't wait for the next few hours of hot takes and grumpy posts. At least we all agree that FIFA is a garbage organization.
