Greetings! I'm Pyrex, also known as Nyeogmi. You might know me from Fedi. I write code, play music, and occasionally sip blood from mortals like you. I'm shy, but it won't bother me if you introduce yourself -- or reintroduce yourself, if I know you already. (Art by @reilukah.bsky.social )

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! New story! New story! NEW STORY!!!!

Between bite and bite, two vampires can also meet to teach each other a few tricks - although only Pyrex seems to be doing the teaching here. This one's part of my Zonktober stories, specificly for the "Vampire" prompt! You can read it here: www.furaffinity.net/view/66838434/

FWIW, at this point I consider "framework owner willingly depends on LiteLLM" as a sign that they don't care about the safety of their users. I anti-recommend things like the OpenAI Agents SDK for this reason.

Maybe this is academic to you because you would not touch any AI code anyways, but unfortunately I have to and therefore I have to draw a line between "ick" and "software malpractice."

Mild vent: I've submitted two commission inquiries in the past week and in both cases I didn't receive an acknowledgment from the artist, either positive or negative. I'm less likely at this point to commission artists who use forms instead of their social media, as I cannot know that they read it.

_I_ can be very hard to reach, so I'm sympathetic, but I still find the situation frustrating. I may attempt to contact these artists via a second channel to let them know that it's been a week.

They're almost certainly getting targeted because "AI framework"-style packages have a tendency to depend on them in order to say "every inference provider is supported." This is a blatant lie as LiteLLM's bindings for most inference providers do not work.

For folks who liked You Can See Everything -- Please watch The Curse! It's the Nathan Fielder project I see people talk about the least, and it's by far my favorite thing he has worked on.

It's a "go in blind" kind of show, but if you lack faith -- it's a drama about a fictional reality TV show about an ecology activist and architect and her blissful marriage.

One of the things I miss about my scammy ex-employer was our worryingly effective internal payment processor. It was extremely aggressive at defending chargebacks and very good at charging people based on partial info. It was kind of like a gun you could point at people and slurp money from them.

It had been invented for camsites and, realistically, probably fraud, and in retrospect it was probably bad for such a thing to exist. But for our basically legitimate application in a "high risk" model with tons of chargebacks, it meant we suddenly had zero issues collecting payments.

As the daylight hours approach, show fealty to your vampiric master. Offer heat: a warm fire; darkness: a heavy cape from my closet; food -- You'll do.
