Hearsay is BACK! Our podcast took a break, but pop culture and politics didn't. We're back for a third season with new hosts and new hot takes. Tune in this Wednesday as we break down how gender, power, and the law shape pop culture—available wherever you listen to podcasts!

Latinas are still paid just 53 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. This number reflects all Latinas with reported earnings—including migrant, seasonal, part-time, and gig workers—because organizing for change must include everyone.  And it’s not just a number. 🧵

That gap represents real women—and real consequences. It means fewer resources to pay rent, put food on the table & build stability. At a time where Trump & his allies in Congress are cutting essential programs & prices continue to climb, Latinas cannot afford to be underpaid on top of it all.

At the current rate, Latinas won’t reach pay equity with white men for 100+ years. We can’t wait over a century for justice. The time for change is now. We need policies that address these inequities—not a federal government determined to roll back opportunities for women of color at every turn.

Trump's new Title IX regulations make it harder for student survivors to get justice. So we're planning a public display of solidarity with student survivors of sexual assault—and we need as many people as possible to show their support. Add your name to our public display of solidarity:

We need to protect students. But Trump's Dept. of Ed is making it harder for survivors to get justice—and easier for abusers & institutions to escape accountability. That’s why we're planning a public display of solidarity w/student survivors. Add your name to show support:

Cornell is what happens when people like Trump make the rules. His new Title IX regulations make it harder for student survivors to get justice—and easier for perpetrators and institutions to escape accountability.

We fought those rules in 2020, and we won’t stop fighting until survivors are believed, abusers are held accountable, and the institutions that protect them are forced to answer for it. Students deserve to be safe—not silenced and dismissed.

Everyone deserves access to safe abortion care. But today, nearly half of abortions worldwide are unsafe. This #InternationalSafeAbortionDay, we're raising our voices for a world where everyone can access the reproductive health care they need, when they need it.

Instead of helping families afford basic necessities like food or gas, Trump is once again Robbing Us. He is freezing nearly $1 billion approved by Congress for programs that support our communities—like research grants, education funding, and housing programs.

Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison today after being found guilty last year of a first-degree criminal sex act. We’re thinking of the bravery of the Silence Breakers—the women who came forward & spoke out on the sexual abuse they experienced at his hands for decades.

The courage of survivors—and their willingness to speak out—has been integral to the ongoing national reckoning of sexual violence in all facets of our society and the march toward justice.

Families often choose FFN care because they want caregivers who share their language, culture, & traditions. During #FFNAppreciationWeek, we’re celebrating the ways FFN caregivers foster trust while helping children build a sense of belonging, identity, & community connection.

The record high waitlists have forced families across the country to rely on suboptimal care, to access food banks and other charities for basic necessities, and made it difficult, if not impossible, for countless women to find and keep jobs. From @hechingerreport.org:

Shawn White was a beloved manager at Walmart when he reported his boss for sexual harassment. Disappointed by Walmart's response, Shawn decided to seek justice and hold Walmart accountable, but he didn't know just how much patience & tenacity that would take.

NEW: Our new report looking at household spending between 2004 and 2024 found that lower-income households were spending nearly all of their pre-tax income on basic needs alone—things like food, housing, health care and transportation.

This report confirms what we've all been feeling lately: everything is more expensive, and our wages aren't keeping up. All while the rich keep getting richer, in part thanks to the massive tax cuts that Trump and Republicans in Congress handed to the billionaire class last year.

ICYMI: Louisiana is trying to impose its anti-abortion policies on states nationwide in a case going through the federal courts right now—and the outcome of this case may dictate whether people can access medication abortion free from medically unnecessary & ideologically motivated restrictions.

Gloria Steinem did not simply make history. She inspired generations of women to follow their own paths and fight for their right to be in the room. She deeply understood that you need to start by changing culture in order to change policy—and that women will always be the engine behind that change.

As founder of Ms. magazine, Gloria worked to highlight the complex lives of women, breaking social taboos by covering abortion, sex & race discrimination, and sexual violence. By putting these issues on the national stage, her reporting helped shape major victories for the women’s rights movement.

We’ve never seen anything as joyful as watching hundreds of visions for gender justice bloom into one daisy chain at Daisy Chain Fields. We’ve never seen anything as joyful as watching hundreds of visions for gender justice bloom into one daisy chain at Daisy Chain Fields. Every petal on this wall was an answer to one question: what does gender justice mean to you? Together, they became something none of us could have written alone.

Thank you to every single person who picked up a pen, stood at that wall, and turned their vision into a link in the chain. Thank you for trusting us with your hopes, your joy, and your imagination. And thank you for reminding us, in your own words, why this work matters. Some of our favorites 🧵

We're so honored to have been a part of the historic Daisy Chain Fields festival this weekend🌼Thank you so much to Olivia Rodrigo and the Daisy Chain team for having us. The money raised by the festival (and so generously matched by Melinda French Gates!) will change the lives of so many ❤️

Finally, THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, learned, and became a link in the daisy chain. This is what is possible when women and girls come together because justice for her means justice for all🌼
