Jesus Christ taught others the truth, was crucified for saying He is the Messiah, and was resurrected to clear us from sin, including you. DM if curious. Please do not gift me AI fanart, nor come here to cause drama. I give all glory to God for my posts.

If I learned anything from my Rhetorics class, it's that it is very easy to create "outgroups". If you heard of the term "AI art" and immediately blame AI artists, that's outgroupping in action. I wonder if anything might change if we listened and countered rather than being so quick to judge.

I am saddened by websites that were once filled with interesting info have devolved into contention and bitterness. I remember when I used to browse fact websites almost every day when I was younger, but avoiding its climate seems to be unavoidable these days.

I'm not sure if we should call it "Christmas in July" in the Southern Hemisphere. Over there, it is winter, so if they want to celebrate Christmas there, it's not different from how we celebrate Christmas over here in the Northern Hemisphere. Over there, it could be just Christmas.

When I write, I feel that deviating from the standard rhythm makes the story easier to remember. I use a certain voice in one section, and I switch to a different voice in the next scene. Or, I speak like your average narrator while still keeping the dialogue realistic. It's what makes writing fun.

You guys are beautiful, unique, and stronger than you think. I hope you realize how much of a difference you make by just talking to somebody. A friend, your family member, even a stranger. Some people are more reserved, and that's okay, it is just what makes people interesting. I'm glad you exist.

I see creators telling their audience to quit pestering them and be patient, but I wonder if it's on a case-by-case basis. If the audience is asking a week after, then, yeah, it might be a bit soon. But if the project is radio silent for more than six months, wouldn't it be reasonable to inquire?

the venezuelan earthquakes tragedy continues on, two weeks later. i'm more actively posting about it on twitter because i do not have the energy to keep up with multiple social media pages at the moment + we venezuelans heavily rely on twitter to spread urgent news and information, bsky is useless.

I think people tend to forget what rallying others to boycott means. It's like owning a childhood plush. If the creator was caught up in controversy, would it not be cruel to suggest they throw it away? I found that it's less about supporting them and more about accepting the experience tied to it.

"I don't know if anyone will imagine the world I wrote." Describing a world is very easy. It does not have to be a separate element. It could be blended in with dialogue and actions. In this manner, your story has a healthy mix of description and interaction. It is like a meal with side dishes.

That said, there is no single way to make building a world easier. Every author has a different way of describing, but the idea I am describing more has to do with how that is seen. Do you see it as a different idea from your characters? Is it character, setting, character, setting? Why not both?

Character dialogue may be doing the heavy lifting in some places, and that is okay. In fact, it enhances your story. Switching between narration and dialogue allows the reader to see which theme is being emphasized. Including tags and gestures within long bouts of dialogue helps give it color, too.

Long dialogue still has a place in stories. It's like being a tour guide for a road trip. Some plan a route around one area but others include different settings for variety. They don't rely on either aspect but discern which is more necessary. Their goal is to provide everyone an adventure.

When you are writing a story, it’s worth paying attention to the voice of your own narrative. How does it sound? Is it repetitive? Does it ramble? You may have a good plot going, but the manner of how you tell it is very important. It is like the oil to your car’s engine.

Remember that too much oil can burn the engine. Excessive refinery can risk making the plot suffer. Don’t stress yourself out over perfect wording, just describe in a way that feels natural. It’s your baseline.

Don't let anyone tell you to grow up. If watching a kids show in your 30s makes you happy, go for it. If you have matured from watching kids shows, all the more reason to keep at it. Don't let anyone's opinions put your interests in a box.

I'm going to be taking an indefinite art break due to it becoming stressful. I don't know when I will come back—today, next year, whenever I do not feel constrained. When I do come back, I'll be operating under a new creative model.

If you're growing as an indie creator, expect pushback. It doesn't matter how small it is, there will always be criticism. It is nice to read comments praising your project, but you will never satisfy all of your audience.

Some people find too much happiness overwhelming, and that is okay. No matter how much you hype them up, you just can't get a smile out of them. That doesn't mean you failed, it just means they find their happiness elsewhere. Meet them at their level, and you will find where they keep their smiles.

Feedback is natural. It is nice to hear improvement, but not where to make improvements. You might feel confident, discomfort, or somewhere in between, and that is okay. Some are optimistic, others are direct, and that is also okay. What matters is how you use that feedback for your improvement.

This is the reason why I never support callout posts. They wreck people's reputations in ways that take years to resolve. If a fallout was involved, that should only be between them. Making it public will only spread gossip and create messes that become too much to handle.

That is not to say arguments are normal. That is just conflict which is not healthy. What matters is how the conversation is treated, especially when it involves listening. It may also involve uncomfortable honesty, but that is normal as well. Friendships are not homogeneous.

But if the conversation is filled with one-sided accusations and unbelief, that is a recipe for disaster. Friendships ruined, vengeance afoot, tears shed. At worst, it creates infighting. Friends cut off, arguments abound, more tears shed. Do you want to be in that environment? I don't.

I personally witnessed this happen with my peers. It is not pretty at all. They aren't just ejected from the circle, but they also struggle to find new friends. That is why communication is extremely important. If the issue is that concerning, talk to them. They might agree with you, too.

There is this notion that people need to avoid uncomfortable conversations in order to maintain a friendship. That is not true. In fact, facing discomfort is admirable and shows resilience. It shows grounded control and keen assessment, but accepts that they are not in control of the outcome.

Update. DDB is back and has apologized, but he is taking a break. I wish the best for him but I hope he improves his communication to his members especially since this is not the only time it happened. They were stressed and struggling for a day straight as they were processing what just happened.

Daydreaming Birdie disappeared off social media all of a sudden and deleted his CRiTORA projects. I'm a friend with several crew members, and they are well-aware of this news. Shock and grief. I've been a fan of his project, so this is surprising to discover. I hope he finds enough peace to return.

We all have bad days, but I wonder if artists realize that we sometimes sit and think about their OCs when we're stressed out. That's what makes us feel better. That's what a comfort character feels like.

🎨 Share your OC boundaries 🖌️ Is Fanart okay? Absolutely! I cherish them all. 💞 Is shipping okay? Only canon ships. 🖋️ Is Fanfiction ok? Sure, as long as it's not caricature. ♊️ Can other’s draw their OC’s with yours? Certainly! 🙅‍♀️ NSFW? Absolutely not. 🤖 AI? Absolutely not.
