Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating. This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens. (Even better: Tesla will hate this)

My (I think?) controversial/unpopular opinion on the Israel situation is that there shouldn't be - in fact, there should never have been - a highly religious state such as Israel in an area with two wildly different religions coexisting in comparable numbers. (1/4)

That said, given the current public stance on these matters in Israel, any politician seeking such a solution is unlikely to be voted in. I do not see an immediately obvious solution to this issue - that is, racism in Israel - so I am interested to hear Bluesky's opinion on this. (4/4)

Whatever state you think should be ruling over the area, it should have very little, if not nothing to do with either Judaism or Islam. We can only hope for peace between Israelis and Palestinians if there is a single state, aligned towards neither, ruling over the area. (2/4)
