After a few months of hard work, we're happy to announce the initial @unplugin-pwa v0.0.2 packages! We completely rearchitected the core. Just look at the diet: we went from 321 total dependencies down to just 22, cutting the install size from 43.3MB to 4.1MB. Leaner, faster, and bundler-agnostic.

We moved the Zephyr Cloud dashboard (1 host + 7 Module Federation remotes) from Rspack to Rsbuild 2, then let Rsdoctor 2 drive the cleanup. First load: −30% gzip Build: 112s → 90s 15-route journey: −39% Numbers 🧵

Navigating 15 routes across 6 micro-frontends: 1,294 → 788 KB gzip (−39%). One config change: sharing subpath imports, so 32 UI modules load once instead of once per remote.

The process: baseline first, re-measure after every change, keep what pays off. Rsdoctor 2 did the measuring. Its tree-shaking view caught a Sentry namespace import keeping every export alive.

Build, all 8 apps, median of 3 clean builds: Rspack: 112s Rsbuild 2: 90s Moving type generation to tsgo also cut each remote build by 18% to 35%.

First load went 1,045 → 729 KB gzip. Two levers did most of it: an unused date picker shipping 430 KB of CSS, and ~114 KB of Sentry we never used.

@module-federation/tanstack 0.1.1 is out, and it runs on stable TanStack Start 1.169. This one is mostly SSR fixes.

A running SSR host can now pick up a redeployed remote: set maxAgeMs and it reloads the remote entry after it expires. TanStack Router is also shared as a singleton now, so Link and useNavigate in a remote use the host's router during SSR.

The Zephyr Cloud docs have a new version 🪐 New landing page, plus one command to let Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini or VS Code inspect, promote and roll back your deployments. docs.zephyr-cloud.io

The docs pages got the same treatment: a sectioned sidebar you can actually find things in, and the zephyr-cloud.io look in light and dark mode. Huge thanks to SoonIter for the style review that kicked all of this off 🙏

Heading to CityJS Athens 🇬🇷 Friday the 23rd at 17:35 I'm sharing our journey at Zephyr building Zephyr AI Platform: where we started, what changed along the way, and what we learned putting people and agents in the same workspace. Come say hi if you're around 👋

Module Federation now works with TanStack Start. The first release of @module-federation/tanstack is out. A Start app can load React components from separately deployed apps at runtime, SSR included.

Vite and Rsbuild are both supported, and you can mix them. Remotes render on the server and hydrate on the client, React is shared as a singleton so context works across apps, and if a remote is offline, the host still starts and shows a fallback.

Module Federation for vinext 0.2.0 is out, the first release of the plugin. Load separately built and deployed React components into a vinext app at runtime. Add federation() before vinext() in your Vite config. It's an alternative to Next.js Module Federation if you're still on Next.js.

Module Federation for Nuxt 0.2.0 is out. - Rspack builder support. Vite and Rspack apps can load each other - Typed props, emits and slots for remote components (dts: true) - Remote components server-render in nuxt dev on Nuxt 4.5 Still beta, so please report what breaks.

Module Federation Vite just passed 1 million downloads a week on npm! The Vite plugin for Module Federation. Load separately built and deployed code into one app, on Vite. Thanks @gioboa.bsky.social for building and maintaining it, and everyone contributing.

Off to @nodeconf.eu in Bologna 🇮🇹 Wednesday at 11:30 I'm talking about running Module Federation on Node.js inside ShadowRealm and SES, and how far that isolation really goes. Zephyr Cloud is a Gold sponsor this year, so find us if you're around 👋

Speaking at React Alicante on September 26! Talk is about Module Federation and how Rspack makes it better. Distributed microfrontends, Module Federation tree shaking, and how we use it at Zephyr Cloud and The AI Platform. Come say hi! reactalicante.es

Speaking at Alicante Frontend this Thursday! Talk is "The Road to Rspack: History of Frontend Bundlers" - from hand-concatenated scripts to Rspack. Why each bundler exists and where tooling is heading. September 24 at 19:00 in Alicante. Come through if you're around! www.meetup.com/alicante-fr...

meetup.comThe Road to Rspack: History of Frontend Bundlers, Thu, Sep 24, 2026, 6:30 PM | MeetupSeptiembre llega con un nuevo Meetup en Alicante Frontend y es, como siempre, otro de esos que no te puedes perder. Webpack, Rollup, Parcel, esbuild, Vite, Turbopack, Rspa

I'm speaking at @nodeconf.eu in Bologna on September 30. My talk will be "Federated, but Contained", it explores ShadowRealm, SES, and Module Federation on Node.js. Loading new code is easy. The hard part is retiring the old module graph without restarting the process.

I'm speaking at React Alicante on September 26. I will be speaking about "Rspack and Module Federation: The modern path to distributed microfrontends". Distributed microfrontends have moved on. I'll explain where Rspack and Module Federation fit now. reactalicante.es

We just launched TheAIPlatform on Product Hunt! Shared rooms where teams and specialist agents work together, model routing, workflows that turn into mini apps. Really proud of what we built. We're giving away a discount code to try it out for $1! www.producthunt.com/products/th...

Great to see Nuxt moving to Rsbuild! This is one of the migration paths we envisioned from day one: start with a seamless webpack → Rspack migration, then adopt Rsbuild for a better DX and less configuration. Thanks to @nst.blue and @danielroe.dev for making it happen 💚

Nuxt@nuxt.com

Nuxt 4.5 is out, and it's a big one. 🚀 - ⚡️ Vite 8 - 🦀 Rspack 2, now powered by Rsbuild - 🌊 experimental SSR streaming for faster TTFB - 🩺 a new stable error code system - 🎨 useLayout, named views, and more ... plus a lot of groundwork for Nuxt 5! 💚💚💚

Speaking at Vue & Vite Conf in Shanghai this Friday! I'll be talking about Module Federation in Nuxt using SSR and its benefits, as well as how we use it within Zephyr Cloud and The AI Platform. Excited to meet the Vue community in China! vueconf.cn/

MadVue was way better than expected. Announced Nuxt SSR support for Module Federation. Demoed 5000+ microfrontends loading at 24fps and showcased theaiplatform.app/ Thanks and team!

Speaking this Friday in Madrid at MadVue. My talk is titled Superpositioned Vue components using Module Federation. I'll be talking about the current state of Module Federation for Vue and Vite. There's still some tickets left if you want to come. See you there!
