I saw Na Hong-jin's new film "Hope" today and though it's loaded with action and has an interesting underlying theme, its 2 hour and 37 minute run time killed it for me. Had it been about 45 minutes shorter, it would be a new classic. 🎞️📽️🎥🎬🎦🍿

I loved "Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma", it's Jane Schoenbrun's best film so far (and her last two films were fantastic)! "Rocky" was a love story with a boxing film shell. "Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma" is an equally great love story within a horror film framework. 🎞️📽️🎥🎬🍿

After seeing the news about rap*st Connor McGregor and lowlife Trump butt licker Lindsey Graham last night, hopefully Karma's back after a long absence and ready to do some more work to get us out of this mess we're in.

I watched "Thelma & Louise" for the first time, thanks to Criterion's beautiful 4K UHD transfer of it, and it's an amazing film. I wish I could have seen it in the theater when it was first released, I imagine there were a lot of budding incels back then who got super steamed over it. 🎬

Super Happy Fun Clown was WAY better than I expected it to be.

Saw Supergirl again, absolutely adored it, even teared up a couple times. I don’t care about critics or whatever, when I go to a movie, I care about how it reaches me, and watching a lost girl find herself and beat the bad sex pest creepos just makes me happy. Needledrop at the end rules btw 💖🥰

I saw Supergirl on Friday night and I loved it. I really hate that the film was released on Friday and by Saturday night the internet proclaimed it a flop. Tell that to the little girl who ran out of the theater after the film to have her mom take a picture of her in front of the Supergirl poster.

Goodbye Giles. 😔

Very sad to hear that Anthony Head has died. So many great roles, from the indelible Giles in Buffy to Bleak Expectations and Cabin Pressure to Ted Lasso and everything in between. From all accounts he was a really nice man and a very funny and talented actor. RIP.

Julia Ducournau's new film "Alpha" is far different from her previous films "Raw" and "Titane". Yes, there's still body horror here (involving a virus that slowly turns people into stone) but the focus is on a touching story of addiction and the agony of letting someone go. 🎞️📽️🎥📹🎬🎦🍿

I liked the new film "Forbidden Fruits" more than I thought I would. I especially loved Victoria Pedretti and her character Cherry. Victoria ran away with the film. She was adorable, goofy, tragic and complex, and at times reminded me of prime Tina Fey and Judy Holliday. 🎥🎬📽️🎞️🍿

Trump the pedo will never have to fight in any of these wars he creates, and that's one of the main problems. When the idiots who start wars actually have to fight in them, all wars will end.

Five-time draft dodger says what now?

Several people have proposed that there should be a "Nouvelle Vague" style documentary of "The Shining" being filmed, with Mia Goth playing Shelley Duvall, and that's one of the most brilliant things I've ever heard. 🎞️🎥🎦🎬📽️

I got to see a 70mm print of "Vertigo" today, which was amazing. I love that the film opens with the Paramount logo then the massive VISTA-VISION text splayed across the screen, bragging of monumental sights to come. Then the film cuts to a tight close-up shot of a person's lips. Lol 🎞️🎥🎬📽️

I saw "Hamnet" today and it's another masterpiece by director Chloe Zhao. The film devastated me in the best ways. Unlike "Shakespeare in Love", which never felt genuine to me, "Hamnet" struck this Shakespeare nerd's heart deeply and made me appreciate the Bard even more. 🎬📽️🎥🎞️

I saw the film “Meta Take One” at a film festival today and it was an interesting watch. It starts off feeling like “Clerks” but soon becomes a dark comedy/thriller more like “Dog Day Afternoon”. I love small indie films like these and will ALWAYS choose them over big Hollywood productions. 🎥🎬📽️🎞️

"100 Nights of Hero" has a massive change in tone throughout but I enjoyed it. It starts as a farce of the upper class that's like a mix of Monty Python and Wes Anderson. By the end, it becomes a somber story of a misogynistic society that's as chilling as anything in "The Handmaid's Tale". 🎬📽️🎥

I've rarely seen a protagonist like the main character of 1981's "Coup De Torchon". Police Chief Lucien Cordier is simultaneously a sympathetic and repulsive man, a guy who's always bullied but finds revenge in the most cowardly ways. Isabelle Huppert, as always, is spectacular in it. 🎬📽️🎥

The two theaters close to me are showing the 4 hour+ version of "Kill Bill" this weekend but they're not showing "Hamnet". What the hell???? I'm going to have to drive to a theater 60 miles away to see "Hamnet". That's crazy. I thought the film was getting a huge release nationwide? 🎬📽️🎥
