I had the urge to lay out my "EDC". More accurately, my emotional support tool pouch, so not my phone, iPad, mp3 player, etc. Some might say I have a problem, and I agree. I don't see pliers or a wrench in there.

Next, a cheap card wallet from Amazon, which contains the two next tools: a knockoff of a Swiss Card (scissors, tweezers, pen, toothpick, tiny knife, magnifier, light), and a Genius Lab Gear Pocket Engineer. Has measurement scales, a protractor, unit conversion tables, and photogrammetry marks.

At the bottom, a smattering of various plastic and metal pry tools for opening cases or gently disconnecting plugs that might be glued in or just stubborn and easy to break.

Next row: flush cutters, tweezers, a ratcheting screwdriver (bought because I needed something for tight spaces), and a rack of additional driver bits to supplement the 1/4" ones in the Kondor Blue tool. Both drivers take the same bit size.

The additional bits are a 1/4" extension, #3 Phillips, 8, 3, and 1.5mm hex, two adaptors, for 1/4" bits for a 6mm driver, and vice versa (my main kit at the bench is all 6mm), a T25 security torx, and a T10 regular torx. That'll be security soon as I find a T10 in 2".

Next to that, a standard work knife, the kind that takes replaceable razor blades. Then, the Covert Instruments Covert Companion 2 (a lockpick set). The set of picks in a big wallet on my desk is never any good to me when I need to pick a lock unexpectedly.

Row 1 is closed out by my 256GB fash drive (C one end, A the other), a tool from a 3 Legged Thing tripod (bottle opener, hex, carabiner, and a pin tool, like a sim tray remover, because you never know when you need to poke a reset button.

Top left, an A6 notebook. I actually carry two, one for personal, one for work. The one pictured is the work one. This one lives in my tool pouch, while the personal one lives in my bag. Attached to it is a pen, and a marker is next to that.

Next, the Kondor Blue EDC Multitool. It came with a selection of bits, and takes standard 1/4" in 1" and 2" length. Currently loaded out with #1 and #2 Phillips, 2, 2.5, 4mm, and 3/16" hex, T15 security torx, and 6mm flat.

Sometimes, I get most of the way through typing a comment or a reply, and I stop and think "what am I actually contributing, here? Am I 'talking to hear myself talk', in text form?", and I delete it. I don't always successfully follow that advice, but everyone could stand to try it sometime.

Here I was, ready to put a bullet in whoever was dumb enough to force a gun into my hands if I got drafted, and the PM's address amounted to "go easy on the fuel, folks, I'm asking, not telling, don't take more fuel than you need". This demeans the importance of a National Address by a PM.

And that’s how, with a few add-ons, you can confuse every customer, split your base, and cannibalise the sales of the new console, which you are inexplicably directly competing with, yourself!

Actually started thinking of how you'd recut issues that feature Doctor Doom across books, to give us a continuous story about Doom with random heroes we don't learn much about.

Operating system age verification mandates in California. The lack of understanding of the technical detail of what legislators have done is so complete, I literally don't even know where to begin explaining how fundamentally incomprehensible it is that they've done this.

You know the saying "I don't have the time or crayons to explain this to you"? We are so far beyond crayons. The kind of mind capable of concocting something this thoroughly ridiculous is so absolutely alien to me...

I will need to bring Carl Sagan back from the dead to get his help in designing a new Voyager-style disc to send to them in the hopes that one day we may be able to find enough common understanding of the basic elements of the universe that we could develop a rudimentary means of communication.

I'm tired... So so tired... Every time I open this app up I just see more and more about the worst people dong the worst things. I just can't, anymore...

God damn that man is photogenic. Haven't seen a bad picture of him. I say the cases should be dismissed just because of that. I mean, if he'd shot AOC he'd already be free, in today's America...

Don’t speed-run your education. Don’t stick to The Plan. Plans you made at 15/16 are not sacred scriptures, laws, or obligations, they’re polite suggestions to yourself, at best. If you go to college chasing 15 y/o you’s dream, you’ll make 25 y/o you miserable with a career you hate.

If you’re over 30, quote this with some life advice 🤌🏼

Say you want to study economics or something. You pick up a few electives on the way. “Ooo, sociology!”, your brain says. You realise econ isn’t for you, swing vine to vine an bit and end up graduating two years later than expected in an anthropology major. THIS is the way. Pursue your interest.

If you see anyone that looks like a cop, a real cop or a paramilitary wannabe impersonating a cop, conducting a traffic stop: accelerate. Unless you WANT to be dragged out of your car and shot for complying. If they do that step in front of the car shit, what happens next is on them. Floor it.

So when, not if but when, we get proof irrefutable that the election WAS stolen, not just by top-down changes to mail in eligibility, polling places, or ID laws, but actual covert action that is absolutely illegal, do we finally get to put the lot of them indefinitely on death row?

I mean... when you put it like this, it's like... the duty of every free user to waste all the resources possible. Every inane query you make might boil the earth a little more, but the way things are going, that's a GOOD thing. Bonus, you make the company that much poorer paying for power.

So many great supernatural/horror themed comics coming out lately. Reading @thatryanparrott.bsky.social’s It Killed Everyone But Me, right now. I’m baffled as to why I enjoy horror comics but not slasher/horror movies, but it is what it is. Really liking this so far (Just two issues in).

I feel dumb for not picking the voice, and even more dumb for thinking "Hmm... Mathas sure isn't a common name. Guess they're two totally separate people!" Small internet, I guess.

The fed goons have been asked nicely to stop. If they continue, the judge will have no choice but to bring their full force to bear, and ask them nicely again.
