Do folks know of a lint to detect things that are "more public than they need to be"? I'd like to go so far as to document with `expect` or something the stuff my crate *intends* to expose to the outside world and get warnings about anything else.

But I also really like to have things be declared module-private or crate-private when they can be and I often find that gets 'out of date' when refactoring.

Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.

The 'panic' around Lia Thomas was about creating a target people could point at while demanding exclusion. So much of what people “know” about Lia comes from manufactured outrage and years of misinformation repeated without context. We commissioned this comic to break down the actual story. 1/2

Sad that RustWeek is over, and glad I got to spend the week with so many wonderful people. Next time you are delighted by how a Rust feature works, say thanks to all these folks who spent the week hashing out every possible edge case! Can't wait for next year's RustWeek! #rustweek #rustweek2026

This’ll be fun

This undercurrent within the #rustlang community (and others) has to stop. The attacks on people simply because they are using developer tools that make them productive is 100% out of line. I can respect the anti-LLM arguments, but let's agree to disagree, respect each other as humans, and move on.

prepping for rustweek, bracing to cross paths with all the people who decided to call me a booster/traitor/fascist for using LLMs, the people who blocked me without saying anything, the people who maintain lists of who to shun. a lot has happened in a year that I'm not done grieving about.

Ooh this is gonna be interesting

I really like Good Notes and Flexcil on iOS. I wish they were open source. I want something that stores the data in a recognized format. Is there anything open source that is even remotely comparable in ease of use?

Does anybody have a recommendation for an app I can use to see my mom's computer *AND* move her mouse for her? It's very frustrating to tell her "move left -- no, not that far! -- ok, go up!"
