Night Noon Games | Michael Putlack

Avenge the White Mare is now available on both on @drivethrurpg.com and @itch.io! This 11 room dungeon features hand-carved art from @kickholland.bsky.social and is a real fun time. Physical zines are available on itch! nightnoongames.itch.io/avenge-the-w... www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...

I had forgotten it was the last Tuesday in October.

After sending 70 of these out today, I'm so glad that stamp technology has progressed beyond licking.

You Can See Everything is such a wild ride. If you haven't seen it yet, I really suggest you go out of your way to make it happen. youtu.be/GGJSRFWALTI

The Between Two Cairns fellas asked me to run a game of Perils & Princesses!

I think the new English-language Sword World missed a really great opportunity to lean into the old school art of the original. Anyone else not really a fan of polished anime look? I just find it to be bland and lacking personality.

Not quite ready to share yet, but saw the first bit of work-in-progress art of my Zine Quest collaboration w/ @outridercreative.bsky.social today. DAMN it is lookin' fly!!!!

Was in the zone writing today, so I brought my writing along to the d&d group's outdoor movie night.

I'm really excited for this upcoming Shadowdark project from @watcherdm.com with art from Evlyn Moreau! JUST LOOK AT THAT LONG BEAR!!!! buff.ly/004ooBe

After learning a lot about it from a playtest last week, I just polished off the writing and revisions for my upcoming Zine Quest/Zine Month collaboration with @outridercreative.bsky.social! Mark your calendars, because this February, things are getting RAD!!!

@zinemonth.bsky.social is going to be looking for someone to create a new creative commons logo for RPG Zine Month 2027! If you are interested reach out to Tony her or via discord with your portfolio and pitch/costs.

God @bastionland.bsky.social is just...so good at game design.

Here's an example where I like the D&D 5e art better than the old school art. The newer art gives the impression that there is more to the harpy than a crone with wings. She seems to have feelings. I like the wing size and the way the human legs gradually transform into cool monster feet, too!

6 games in the last 7 days. Monday - played Dolmenwood Tuesday - played d&d 5e Wednesday - GMed R'lyehwatch (playtest) Friday - GMed Shadowdark (ravenloft), played Wanderhome Saturday - played Mothership (another bug hunt) Pretty great week I'd say.

It's always VERY satisfying when a project starts landing in backers' mailboxes! Thanks for the support, @tim-eagon.dice.camp.ap.brid.gy!

If there is anyone cooler than @joeyroyale.bsky.social, I haven't met them.

It's awesome to see a publisher like @koboldpress.com diversify their offerings by getting into Shadowdark!

The newest Shadowdark adventure from the dude who has been called "the greatest adventure writer" by the likes of Kelsey Dionne and Luke Stratton!

Me when the big reveal happens and it turns out our CY_BORG campaign is a computer simulation that our Dogs in the Vineyard characters are living through.

I adapted this very fun, very weird, and VERY wet adventure so you can play it using Shadowdark! Go check it out!!!

This is my first time playing D&D 5e in about 3 years when this group switched to Pathfinder 2e. I've gotta stay, I prefer it so much more than pf2e. Somehow it seems to actually flow. We've even made it into a SECOND COMBAT ENCOUNTER IN THE SAME SESSION!!! 😯😯😯😯😯

You're doing a lot of doomscrolling for someone who has a bunch of unread RPG books on their shelf 👀

Big news. Good on these WotC employees for working to unionize! unitedwizardsofthecoast.com/news/dnd-stu...

Am I the only one who assumed "everybody Wang Chung tonight" was a directive to perform a dance called "The Wang Chung" rather than the band just inserting their own name into their song? The name means "yellow bell," the 1st note in the Chinese classical music scale. This post is about an RPG.

Other episodes were fine, but this episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" scared the crap out of me! The aliens had no faces!!!!

Well look what the Displacer Beast dragged in! If it isn't physical copies of my new Shadowdark adventure, Avenge The White Mare!!! You can buy one now and I'll ship it by month's end, right after Kickstarter rewards are sent out! Get it on @itch.io: nightnoongames.itch.io/avenge-the-w...

Not to brag, but I really think I nailed this pizza tonight.

Current state: teaching myself markdown while writing a new adventure in a park on an alphasmart.

Another reminder that Zine Quest/Month is just FOUR MONTHS AWAY!!! If you're not already cooking something up, it's time to start. I'm working on something myself, but it's not quite ready to announce yet. Want a hint? It involves Mr. Perils & Princesses himself, @outridercreative.bsky.social !

Everything about this one looks so cool.

This guy gets it.

Welp, this is a new one for me. I can't say that I've ever seen someone just delete their kickstarter account before, especially before I fulfill their reward.
