Being able to nerf Liquid Glass outweighed the risk of downloading the #iOS27 beta. Good riddance.

Today was a great mail day. @stephenrobles.com

At the bottom of what I assume is a very long waitlist. Any #perplexity Comet users have an invite they want to share? 👀

Hot Take: Switching to year based OS versions is a good move. #WWDC25

The Coca-Cola 600 was absolute cinema. Best race of the season.

This week we watched our first Audrey Hepburn movie: Breakfast at Tiffany's! Most of this movie has aged quite well. Most of it. #MovieSky #FilmSky #AudreyHepburn 🎥: youtu.be/zr6L9UuQNzA 🎧: linktr.ee/thebigroompod

I assume that every politician is power hungry, greedy, and totally disconnected from real life. Pete’s the only one who almost makes me second guess that. At the very least, it’s just nice to hear a politician who can actually form a complete sentence. The full ep of this pod is worth the listen.

Kyle Larson either dominates a race or totally destroys his car. Zero in between.

Flying to Montana today and decided to listen to Harmontown as we took off. Naturally, as the plane wheels leave the ground, I’m listening to a story about @danharmon.bsky.social screaming “We’re all going to die!” on a plane. A much needed laugh amidst some flying anxiety.

Sometimes you get inspired in the most unexpected ways. Like while watching Adam Savage unbox some pens. “Good design makes the whole world better…because it shows that care was taken. It shows that someone decided that this thing mattered.” youtu.be/hiNScN5ZR3c?...

The e in iPhone 16e stands for 'eggs' and that's why it's overpriced

He sure did skip the price of eggs and go straight to Gaza.

5 minutes into the first NASCAR Cup Series practice of the year and Kyle Busch is having issues already. It’s going to be a great year.

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Absolutely amazing weather Florida is having right now. But I am suddenly aware of how underprepared my wardrobe is for the cold.

This is how propaganda works.

Merry Christmas! youtu.be/2ilxM7-m8S0?...

not a cellphone in sight. just people living in the moment.

I don’t know why I’m still so pissed off that the answers to “what, where, and when” are “that, there, and then.”

Listening through Harmontown for the first time and sometimes I forget it’s 12 years old until someone goes “so I wrote a Tumblr post” or “I’m making a Vine”.

I’m at the age where with most of the new music I listen to I’m not sure which name is the artist and which is the album.

Cable. We’re just re-inventing cable. And it’s more expensive.

Google, I do not understand why this is a thing. How is this not default functionality?

Let us have captions in movie theaters.

I don't know who needs to hear this but The Polar Express is D-tier at best.

Mashed PO-TA-TOES

Got a new computer and set it up as a new device because everything is in the cloud or browser based. Except I forgot about fonts. I forgot to transfer fonts. 🫠

Finally watched a Wes Anderson on the pod! Super fun one.

Huge win from @franzanth.bsky.social creating a Content Scraper Blocklist: bsky.app/profile/cont... It's a blocklist for the kinds of engagement bait accounts that repost stolen content, often with misleading captions.

This week has been a month. Truly, TGIF.

Because manually turning on your lights is too inconvenient.

Every time I have looked at Bluesky today, I've thought "Ok, the algorithm here is pretty solid." And it might be. But I realized that once you select Following, it stays there until you change it. I've just been looking at that feed all day enjoying the accounts I actually follow. 10/10 no notes
