Tania tries generating illustrations with multiple AI models through Netlify AI Gateway. One somehow looks like her, others have styles she loves, and she starts thinking about how simple AI-generated graphics could work as reusable design templates.

The Netlify Community Showcase is back next Thursday, Oct 29 at 10am PT, and this one is a spooky edition. Four builders from the community will demo their Netlify projects live on YouTube. Applications to be featured are open now. communityshowcase.netlify.app

Tania walks through Ask Mode in Netlify Agent Runners, which lets you ask questions about your project, troubleshoot errors, and understand what's happening before making changes. It's especially useful when you're learning as you build and keeping an eye on credits.

Want to try different AI models in your app? Tania explains how Netlify AI Gateway removes the hassle of managing separate provider accounts, credit balances, and API keys, making model experimentation more accessible to builders of all experience levels.

Tania built a copy review app inspired by her work on Netlify's marketing and community teams. With Netlify Preview alongside Agent Runners, she can see changes as she builds and keep refining the app without constantly opening separate preview links.

Richard Terry-Lloyd needed his AI workflow to run every morning at 6 a.m., even when his laptop was closed. He'd never worked with cron jobs or serverless functions before. With Netlify Agent Runners, he was able to set up a scheduled function to publish his document automatically.

Richard Terry-Lloyd shares how learning to work with code changed the way he uses business data. With access to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Snowflake, he can explore information, run models, and build tools around the way his team actually works, without waiting on someone else to pull a report.

Richard Terry-Lloyd used Agent Runners to build a mobile-friendly site for his son's sporting event, pulling together schedules, logistics, and everything else he needed in one place. A simple idea that made a busy day a lot easier.

Richard Terry-Lloyd built this sales dashboard in about an hour. It pulls together bookings, pipeline, forecasts, churn, and more into a single interactive view connected to Salesforce and Notion. When the people closest to the work can build their own tools, they can move a lot faster.

Build or buy? Richard Terry-Lloyd shares how Netlify thinks about the decision in the AI era. If a tool helps the team move faster and fits naturally into the workflow, buying it can be the right choice.

A warm request to a Netlify Edge Function now spends about 6ms on our side before the response heads back out. It passes through an edge node, a compute node, and a Firecracker MicroVM without leaving our network.

The edge node picks a compute node with rendezvous hashing, so a function lands on the same node every time. Its MicroVM stays warm and its code stays cached. When one site takes a big share of a region's traffic, we spread it across a slice of nodes.

A warm request to a Netlify Edge Function now spends about 6ms on our side before the response heads back out. It passes through an edge node, a compute node, and a Firecracker MicroVM without leaving our network.

The request lands on the Netlify edge node closest to the client. The node terminates TLS and checks the path against the deploy's Edge Functions routes. Anything without a matching route goes on to the cache and origin as usual.

When a route matches, the edge node writes a spec for the machine that will run the function. It names the runtime, our platform image, and the function image. It also sets CPU, memory, and connection limits.

A few more numbers from the rollout: Invocations are 47.4% faster at p99, and availability sits at 99.998%. Edge function logs now arrive 5x faster. Cold starts happen on about 1.2% of invocations and average around 9ms.
