i'm surprised the frontend doesnt specify your PDS's TOS/Privacy/Support/Contact email shit anywhere but they don't even tell you about all the environment variables unless you look into the typescript code so whatever

if Richard Stallman wrote Thick Of It he would probably say im in the FSF, everybody GNU, they GNU me where it codes, i license the repo, i don't know nothin bout Windows i use GNOME, fourty somethin Linux distros so i've been told

so have we ever figured out if Bluesky engages in relay-level moderation, it’s very opaque and I’m not sure if there’s a way to check blocked repos and PDSes

The techcels that get mad about Bluesky not being decentralized or whatever either don’t understand that the two protocols are wildly different from each other, are extremely tribalistic over what shitware to use or rarely have actual concerns about privacy, etc. (which will get fixed eventually)

I feel as though a lot of the blocklist people on fedi would’ve used Bluesky instead of fedi, but they’ve put so much time and effort into the whole eight year ordeal that it’d feel terrible to do it again

Direct multi-protocol support should be the goal for upcoming AP implementations, it just needs one to prove that its possible (which it is)
