Been working on the mobile version of our #minecraft skin editor, and have a beta out for all to test and give feedback. Currently missing a few features, like gallery integration and layer support, but is getting close to being done. mobile-beta.needcoolershoes.com #mcdev #minecraftskins

Work on the mobile UI for our editor is going well! Soon™ you will be able to edit your skins from the comfort of your phone! (only half functional right now, but you can try the beta at mobile-beta.needcoolershoes.com) #minecraft #minecraftskins #mcdev

We have just released our biggest update to the site ever! Our skin editor, the main attraction of the site, has been fully rewritten, finally replacing the very outdated old editor! The site is also now fully #opensource! Check us out @ needcoolershoes.com! #minecraft #minecraftskin #mcdev

You can now import .ncrs files in to the beta editor. beta.needcoolershoes.com

Looking for feedback on a different layout for the new editor. Do people like it? Is there anything else about the layout that should be changed? beta.needcoolershoes.com #minecraft #minecraftskins #mcdev

I would like to introduce skins.place, the new permanent home for the Skins Place editor, from our April Fools day event. Skins Place is a real-time, collaborative skin experiment, where you can place a pixel on the skin, and watch the skin change over time. #minecraft #minecraftskins #mcdev

Thank you to everyone that participated in NeedCoolerShoes Skins Place 2025! We came out with an awesome skin (she is named April). needcoolershoes.com/skins/16345/ #minecraft #minecraftskin #minecraftskins

Introducing skins place, a real-time collaborative #minecraft skin! Happy April Fools! needcoolershoes.com/place #minecraftskin

The site is now back up, and on a new host! Expect better performance, and maybe even a faster experience if you live closer to the USA than Sydney.

Please be aware that the site is currently down for maintenance and might be down for the next hour or so.

We have added layer filters to the new editor! These filters are non-destructive, meaning they do not change the underlying pixels of the layer, allowing them to be easily changed. As well, buttons have gotten a visual overhaul thanks to @p4ncake4451.bsky.social. #minecraft #mcdev #minecraftskins

Signed in users can now upload skins to mineskin, in order to generate the command to give the head as an item in game. Thanks to @mineskin.org for generously granting the site 5k credits for free! #minecraft #mcdev #minecraftskins

Introducing: Connected Minecraft accounts! You can now connect your Minecraft account to NeedCoolerShoes, which will allow you to directly change your skin from on the site! Manage connected accounts through the button on your profile page. #minecraft #mcdev #minecraftskins #needcoolershoes

Meet Little Meow Meow! They are the mascot of NeedCoolerShoes. Designed by doofus, Little Meow Meow (named by the community) was the winning entry to a skin jam we held early in the project, and as such became our beloved mascot ♥️. #minecraft #minecraftskins needcoolershoes.com/skins/105/~m...
