I hope El-Sayed's parents, who are private citizens, hire a good lawyer and sue the fuck out of this fool for defamation. Enough.

Tim Scott on Hannity's show lies that El-Sayed's parents "funded Osama bin Laden"

You should subscribe to Aaron newsletter just for the effort he puts into Trump’s garblespeak. “One of theszeeumsm…” 😂

Trump: "We want them to talk about diversitay, as I say. One of theszeeumsm -- diversitay, very elegant person"

I am surprised Gruber wrote that. Not because he has no problem with X—he’s always been a guy who claims “taste” without any real morals—but because it doesn’t help him at all. Best case scenario: he brings some followers to X…but that flies in the face of his “everyone is here” narrative. Weird.

If the Marquette that forced Texas to a fifth set shows up every night for the next 3 months, they’re getting a seed in the NCAA tourney no doubt

Anonymous Eagle@anonymouseagle.bsky.social

15-8 Texas in the fifth, it was 9-8 Horns after a 6-0 start for them that made it a coast to the end 3-2, Marquette falls in their opener to #2 Texas

Final swing for This Is The Plan: the book tour. But The Plan itself is just getting started. Grab a copy of the book and then make your plan to get involved, organize, and win power for Team Democracy! 🧯🔥

Back before Elon destroyed it, watching a game (college hoops preferably #mubb) with Twitter fans was a joy. Getting the same vibes from Bluesky right now.

My son has a rollercoaster design challenge around favorite movies. My entry: “An incursion underwater to retake an impregnable fortress held by an elite team of US marines in possession of 81 hostages and 15 guided rockets armed with VX poison gas” Time to watch “The Rock” again.

I’m already overwhelmed.

imagine the freedom of walking into your grocery store, activating the chip flavor combobulator, setting any flavinoid ratios you want, and selecting from a wide variety of primal taste powders to create the perfect chip for you... that's the future we deserve

Mooof23@mooof23.bsky.social

Its everyone's favorite time of year start of #mubb. Its full of promise & peril of which @joemccann3.bsky.social & I break down in a very long #scrambledeggs episode: -Player breakdown -Team approach -Game predictions Enjoy! www.crackedsidewalks.com/2025/10/buck... @crackedsidewalks.bsky.social

I’m not sure why people keep posting articles of the New York Times.

Jeff (Hot Type) Jarvis@jeffjarvis.bsky.social

"Diorama of power dynamics." Beyond euphemism, that is glib glorification of dictatorship. The #BrokenTimes would rather show off its turn of phrase than call fascism what it is. Oval Office Becomes a Diorama of Power Dynamics as Trump Goes After Rivals www.nytimes.com/2025/10/15/u...

Liquid Glass is pretty. It’s neat to scroll things under it. Feels more like a tech demo, though. It’s garish when too much, and completely illegible in many cases. I can barely tell who I’m sending my daily Octordle to!

Remembering MN house speaker Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark and their beloved dog Gilbert. Murdered in June at their home by a rightwing Trump-voting evangelist, who also shot another MN lawmaker and his wife at THEIR home, 9 and 8 times, respectively (miraculously, they survived).

What if Real World’s Sean Duffy is the most competent member of this administration?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Duffy on the air traffic control system: "The lights are blinking, the sirens are turning ... what you see in Newark is gonna happen in other places across the country." Good luck, air travelers!

Could probably strike “about politics”. These dudes are all “right place right time”. We give them way too much credit for being lucky.

jamelle@jamellebouie.net

really underrated how much these rich guys know jack shit about politics

I can’t believe books never followed the movie model and gave you a free download along with the physical book purchase. It’s like they just wanted to give all their profit to Amazon.

I don’t know who this is, but no, if Canada gets invaded by the US, this dude’s apology isn’t going to help much.

Jordan Weissmann@jhweissmann.bsky.social

I’ll tell you what everybody: If Donald Trump invades Canada, I’ll come here and personally apologize to all the people frothing at me right now. Feel better?

Any time Jesus wants to show up, I’m happy to have him take the wheel. Until then … I get the vibe Josh really just wants to control people in the name of a dude he’s never met?

Introducing a resolution to overturn Obergefell, Michigan state Rep. Josh Schriver says "now is the time to reassert the sovereignty of Christ as our king": "Now is the time to restore the authority of God and submit our will to he who knows what's best."

Now I have to root for Verizon? This is the worst timeline.

emptywheel@emptywheel.bsky.social

As you read about FAA considering canceling a $2.4B Verizon contract to give it to Starlink instead, remember that some estimates of the real "savings" DOGE has gotten so far are in the $2 to $2.6B range. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Seems like a good time to give the young guys some run. The seniors have shown they lost their fight. It’d be nice to hit the ground running next year with some experience. If we’re gonna lose by 25 any way … #mubb

These articles drive me nuts. Trump won. I can accept that. But more people didn’t vote than voted for him. And his margin over Kamala wasn’t terribly impressive. He’s not some once in lifetime politician. He squeaked by. Let’s stop anointing everyone in his orbit. apple.news/AxCbrXLBqR3W...

Eric Lipton NYT@ericlipton.nytimes.com

FYI, folks from Bluesky. Reporters at The NYT, among other news organizations, are now generating a giant wave of accountability stories about the new Trump era. Reading these stories, sharing them, is a form of accountability as well. It is a form of participatory democracy too. Substance matters.
