For any Oregonians on my feed - I KNOW Tina Kotek is not a lot of people's favorite governor, but let's not forget that she is the reason we have PAID PARENTAL/MEDICAL LEAVE, something VERY few Americans have And Drazan is anti-choice, pro-AI data center, and pro-current federal government

CW: Addiction Scalding hot take but I think people need to stop talking about RFK Jr.'s past heroin use. It kinda gives the same vibe to me as making fun of someone's body just because they are on the "opposite" side. We should focus on actions and ideologies, not shit like this.

I do think mine change a little from time to time but: 1. Should've Said No 2. White Horse 3. Back To December 4. The Last Time 5. Wonderland 6. Delicate 7. Cornelia Street 8. the last great american dynasty 9. long story short 10. You're on Your Own, Kid 11. Guilty As Sin? 12. Ruin The Friendship

I need a sign for my cubicle partition that says "number of dumb questions I have the capacity to deal with today" and every time I get one I'll tick it down

Executive dysfunction is so weird because I've been walking around with a small pebble in my shoe for two hours rather than stop what I'm doing and have to re-tie my shoe

I am a lot more of an introvert than my husband is, so we do this thing where every other Friday is date night, and then on the off Fridays, he goes and does something with his friends or plays video games with them from his desk with the door closed I think it's very healthy for our marriage 🀣

Okay I feel like so many of these straights are NOT okay because every time I watch reality TV these people are talking about men "liking thirst traps" on social media and stuff? I have literally no concept of what my husband "likes" on social media and I genuinely don't care to

Like one of these men is like, "so you're saying you need all 5 love languages?" BABE. The "love languages" were invented by a homophobic pastor, and EVEN IF one subscribed to his ideas, he was pretty clear that actually everyone does "need" all of them, just in varying amounts.

Okay fine I'm gonna start watching Carrie I don't know if I'm going to like it because I'm really mixed on "scary" stuff? But I'm giving it a shot because I'm seeing so many good things about it

U.S. friends, please remember to vote! If you need help figuring out where to vote or what the issues in your area are, I will personally help you figure it out if you send me a DM. Voting is SO important, always, but especially right now, as we need a wide enough margin that it can't be disputed.

Yesterday in Oregon (Willamette Valley) it was 75 degrees and tonight we have a freeze warning. Climate change is real and it fucking sucks and I hate it.

Yes I feel better now and I have two new books to read

Jayde@multicitrusmarg.bsky.social

I am crashing out lately (just so much stuff I am working through in therapy and it's fine but also not fine) BUT I work for a university so I'm gonna go check out a bunch of books from the giant beautiful library today and that will certainly make me feel better

Yeah I KNOW these were Patient Zero clues but I am still clowning for 11/10

Jayde@multicitrusmarg.bsky.social

This is not original but I can't figure out where I first saw it (I was doom-scrolling this am) so tag yourself if it was you SACCHARIDE, ARES, FROM THE VINEYARD, NORTH OR SOUTH Unscrambles to MY FIRST RECORD'S RE-RECORD IS OUT NOV TEN With leftover letters: HAHAHAHA

And what if I said the switches between "me/I" and "you" in "You're On Your Own, Kid" are because the song is about one version of Taylor abandoning another version of her?

"The only kind of girl they see is a one night or a wife" I don't think this line is about perception of Taylor uniquely, I think it is about society's perception of women in general

Only gaylors understand Midnights because when I'm in ANY other space and I say it's my favorite album, people are shocked

4 years ago today we were gifted Taylor’s magnum opus and since that day I’ve never been the same.

Okay did y'all know that if you want life insurance, you have to disclose any medications you take? And if you tell them you take a controlled substance, they require you to sign a waiver for disclosure of your medical information from your prescribing doctor?

I think something people really don't understand about ADHD (and I realize this presents differently for everybody) is that when I am forced in some way to actually do work I don't care about for multiple consecutive hours, it is extremely disruptive to my well-being

Another thing about my ADHD is that it loves to knock out 3 weeks worth of work on a slow Friday (followed by an absolute crash out when I go home and take an edible)

BUT. On the flip side, when I had a job that I actually felt a deep emotional connection to, it was all-consuming all the time, and it was impossible for me to emotionally separate myself from the work. Also very detrimental to my mental health.

So when they say ADHD is a disability, that's an extremely real statement, because under capitalism, you must continually do things that are detrimental to your mental health as a person with ADHD if you want to have a roof over your head and groceries in your fridge

I love to hate watch Love is Blind and one of my FAVORITES from this episode I'm watching - "I kind of want a wife who might know more than me about some things" Like do men ACTUALLY think they are going to know more than a given woman about EVERYTHING? Huh?!?!?

One thing about having ADHD is my husband's birthday is tomorrow and I'm trying to find the presents I hid from him but I can't remember where I hid them

As someone happily married to a cis man, more women need to dump their male partners. It SHOULD be unacceptable to think misogynistic shit is funny. You don't have to put up with it because of some kind of sunk cost fallacy.

If there own spouses are like that, then it’s perfectly fine, if not ideal that Travis is like that. They can’t possible question Travis’s actions & motives without blowing up their own lives so they put blinders on and then cover them with rose covered glasses and insist this is the ideal standard

People make fun of fidget spinners but I just used one for the first time and it is SO fun and honestly incredibly helpful for keeping my hands occupied so I stay off my phone

CW: medical stuff, not graphic I got a cyst removed in July and it was my first time getting stitches but I made it through the healing, now it's scarring and I do not like it And bc of the location the derm said it might take up to a year for it to fully settle but I'm low-key so upset about it

I started watching East of Eden on Netflix and it is definitely on the heavy side but it's SO good and Florence Pugh is just perfect in every conceivable way

I just finished "Hollywood, Ending" by John Green and it's a FASCINATING portrayal of the "Hollywood machine" And I love that John Green writes to entertain first and foremost

Okay I have a coworker who always fucks up when people use they/them pronouns and For the record, I am not perfect, if someone I know well changes their pronouns, I absolutely mess them up sometimes But when it's someone new I've never referred to before? There's no "before" to accidentally use

Us bisexual women might often end up with men, but one thing is for sure and that's that we end up with men who are secure about their masculinity My husband was listening to Pink Pony Club in the shower this morning and that's not even on my regular playlists, that's just his vibe

I read a book last year called "Ink Blood Sister Scribe" and it was incredible and I am STILL checking the author's website like every month to see if she (Emma Torzs) is publishing anything else because it is her only published book and I NEED to read more from her

I saw a symphonic orchestra do "The Music of Studio Ghibli" this weekend and it was legitimately a spiritual experience. The musicians were having a great time and it was completely incredible. Anyways I need more of that in my life and less sitting at a computer (but I also need my job so)

I saw Verity this weekend and I have never read the book and am generally not a Colleen Hoover fan but it was really good and I am surprised the reviews are trending as negative as they are
