How it started vs. How’s it going

How it started vs. How’s it going

I couldn’t be happier for John, and I’ve never been happier to lose a subscriber!

I’m now an expert on App Intents! I’ve tried almost everything. I have a short list of bugs and a lot of feedback. The old way was more powerful than the new declarative one. Now, I need to write down my learnings because there are many “ohhhhh” moments. Covering 60+ in-app actions!

This is going to be an edition you don’t want to miss out on! See you’ll there!!

📣 Speaker Announcement From building indie apps like Tasks & Karo, we're thrilled to welcome @mufasayc.com 🎉 Mustafa will take us from zero to sync with CloudKit — covering containers, databases, and real-world lessons ☁️ Practical tips and laughs along the way 😄

Wow, Swift Bharat was incredible. Still processing but genuinely one of the greatest iOS conference experiences I’ve ever had. @mufasayc.com and team crushed it. And the Swift community in India is loaded with inspiring, passionate, and kind people. I have to go back next year 😁

My version of exploring a new city!

How can I get the sidebar icon out of my sidebar and just like how Journal/Notes app have it? It’s a catalyst app with a SceneDelegate :/ Anyone?

The developer pilgrimage is on! Ticket or no ticket, I’ll be there. Excited to see what Apple announces for this year… and maybe actually launches next year? (Love you folks at the fruit company) #WWDC25

Apple is sleeping on making the best ad for Focus Modes with Severance! Outie(Personal) and Innie(Work) focus modes which get toggled based on geo fencing?! Tell me this isn’t genius 😮‍💨

Just wrapped up an incredible two days partnering with Apple for Super Charge ‘25! Spoke to 1,600 students and ran four hands-on SwiftUI workshops. Seeing their ‘Wait, I actually built this?!’ moments was pure magic!

Framous is officially released to the Mac App Store!! 🥳🎉 Framous is the fastest and easiest way to add device frames around your screenshots Here's some of the highlights starting with all the easy ways to import a screenshot 🧵👇

Le me: Attempting to build an entire app in SwiftUI thinking it’ll be super easy

Up now is @mufasayc.com showing us how to implement iCloud sync by hand 😄

Feeling really optimistic about Spurs finally winning a trophy this season 🤞

i had a nightmare: what if apple never launched SF Symbols? we’d have to design or source every single icon ourselves. honestly, i’m not sure i’d have released any apps without them

I truly apologise for taking this long to add confetti’s to my app. I hope you’ll forgive me 🥺

🎄Themes are a FREE for the next 48 hours in @karo.chat! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all ❤️

Karo’s new festive theme is now live on iOS and macOS! It might not snow where you are, but it will in @karo.chat! Oh, and recurring reminders? They’re finally here! ⏰ Try: karo.bot

Today’s widget really showed me that I’m the happiest when I’m playing football in the rain! (Hope my wife doesn’t see this post).

Finally hit my all time lowest weight 76.8kgs!! Once I touch 75, I think I’ll train as a professional boxer just because I really like that physique - I want to be my fittest version before I turn 30 in 2026!

Yay, @karo.chat got 9to5Mac’ed, thanks a lot @filipeesposito.bsky.social for the wonderful write up 🙇‍♂️

Pretty excited to attend this in Mumbai - I have been so out of touch with the android ecosystem. It’s about time I start meeting more people in tech in my own city!

This week I’ll give my first shot at becoming a tech creator and creating short form videos! Anything in particular you’ll would like to see from me?

Love the exchange I had with a EU Karo user. They love the app and hate to see something to happen to it because it gets a notice for not complying with GDPR. Is there like a threshold before which you don’t need to comply with GDPR, cause that feels like a huge task :/
