What I really like in AI coding is, that I can concentrate on the architecture - which makes most fun to me - and give repetitive work to the agent. Wrote an impl for persistence: "Hey, based on ..., please make that for all the other 20 items" :D Push: Your OpenAI account has been funded 🤑

ChatGPT is prompted to agree and to avoid conflicts. Anyone else tried to challenge own ideas with it?

I tried @zed.dev for Rust coding and really love it. It’s so snappy and fast <3 I’m still not that fast as with RustRover but it’s just training of the shortcuts

Do you guys need a Launchpad? - Manage Roadmap - Attract first movers - Offer special deals to first movers - Track progress I just built one recently. Happy to share / SaaS. Just reply #buildinpublic

Unpopular opinion: IDE autocomplete was better without AI. Before, I got logical completions, now I get just guesses. `.await` for non async functions etc.

My consultancy is named NimbusForge. So, we will name our Cloud NimbusForge Origin Updates follow #buildinpublic

We love what we’re building, but we’ve realized Plan13 may not be the right name. Openness and inclusivity are core to us. If a number makes even a few people feel uncomfortable, we’d rather adapt. A rename is on the table. Suggestions welcome.

We as Europeans have special demands, not only because of consumer rights. It’s important to support local services and industries to our needs. #weareEurope #europe

European challenges require European solutions. The time to deliver on them is now. At this week’s #EUCO, EU leaders met to discuss the Clean Industrial Deal, boosting competitiveness, strengthening defence, and securing a strong, sustainable future for our Union. More info ↓ europa.eu/!8ptP49

Why Build a Cloud from Scratch? We didn’t start with OpenStack. We didn’t resell a white-labeled platform. We built the cloud we wish we had. Why? Because what sets us apart couldn’t be bought. So we built it — so you can build on it. #buildinpublic

What does it take to build a cloud provider? ☁️ ✅ Secure, segmented networking ✅ Predictable performance, no surprises ✅ Configurable yet sane defaults ✅ Battle-tested reliability ✅ Seamless integration (IaC, DevOps, CI/CD) ✅ Documentation so good, it actually gets read plan13.cloud 🚀

Make it more often to train the ai with this data. May it then see walls were aren’t any?

Someone made a Wiley E. Coyote style painted wall to see if Tesla’s autopilot would detect it and well…

How are those products legitimated afterwards? It puts a price label on all our values. You just need to be HUGE to bypass the law and democracy

Upselling even for military equipment.

Had no idea F-35s were B2B SaaS 🙃 Germany just found out they might come with a 'Deactivate Subscription' button in Washington.

X has become an isolated bubble. All maga critical people went somewhere else. I can understand this as I did it too. But if they don’t get feedback, they always get confirmed.

Hey folks, I translate my network PoC in software. I have an entity that holds routes, ACL and Subnets. Should I name it VPC, Network Site or Virtual Router? #buildinpublic #Plan13Cloud Arguments in thread 🧵

When will new US policies hit us? 15 years of migrating to the (US) cloud—yet no Plan B. If access to digital goods is restricted, we’re under pressure. Europe relies on US services for banking, streaming & more. *Too big to fail* or time to build alternatives? #buildinpublic #weareEurope

Network Site > Describes the use Pro: describes the use in common network terms. Con: not common for non network professionals and needs explanation

VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) > is well known Pro: well known in the cloud sphere Con: technically not correct. A VPC is a logical collection of resources and usually spans across regions, a router is strictly bound to one region.

The current PoC of the Cloud Network is basically at AWS parity. Technically, this entity is a network site or a Virtual Router. You can (inter-)connect them, add rules etc. Ofc, in a cloud that’s more magic and virtual than on-premise but you can think of it as a router or network site

(Virtual) Router > Describes the technology Pro: It would reflect the function as you would design a corporate network Con: a router is basically a physical thing, not redundant. Users might think they rent a physical device

The US is performing an economic war with its allies. It’s not dealing, it’s blackmailing. This war is fought on a different level by consumers and companies depending on US goods. We can unload their weapons by boycotting US services and goods!

I don’t usually do boycotts, but this time it’s going to be permanent. Switching to European services. Just cancelled my Amazon Prime and Audible Premium. Will remove my books from Amazon by end of month. My company shall never run on AWS, even though that was the plan. Enough. #weareEurope

Ok, router interconnects actually break all the rest

The last days I worked on a new prototype of vpc like networking: ✅ native private and public ipv6 ✅ private ipv4 ✅ isolated subnets ✅ stateless firewall (network ACL) ✅ stateful firewall (security groups) ✅ virtual routers with custom route tables ⏳vpc and router interconnects ⏳ floating ipv4

If you sell an open source service, the only market differentiation to your next competitor is marketing. #buildinpublic

No I didn’t but maybe I should to tell the story. In short: “Build on your own what’s the core of your business to differentiate, but buy what is not.” This statement has steered a lot of my professional decisions

I am working on network ACL to secure cloud vpc’s for plan13.cloud

I lost focus. Plan13 was never the final name of the cloud. It is more a working title to start. Every now and then I find myself to find a better name instead of solving the last tasks to finally launch. “Just do it!” - Nike
