Good Question Mark!

Mark McEntire@markmcentire.bsky.social

I remember junior high school, back in the 1970's when we used to call each other qu**r and h*mo as insults. Why is our vice president a thirteen year-old boy from the previous century?

So we are clear, "Russia Russia Russia" was *never* a hoax.

The only other nations in the world who carry out public executions are Iran and Afghanistan, the two nations we most frequently accuse of being barbaric. Strange how that works.

The Trump administration’s actions resulted in the destruction of the largest ancient Cottonwood tree on Indigenous territory in Arizona. This tree, known as the “Grandmother Tree,” was 250 years old.

Of course this won't work while people like Schumer and Jeffries are "leading" (bleeding) the Democratic Party in Congress. But it WILL work. Once someone with guts shows up.

On this I cannot disagree. Mainstream media and legacy media have been bought and paid for and are willing turning a blind eye to an obvious coverup. No one is willing to go to the hospital and find out the truth? Shameful.

47 is flooding the market with low grade, beef from Argentina. This meat is filled with chemicals that are banned in China. Costco seems to be the only retailer NOT selling this meat. Stay woke.

For those of you that haven't read it, Chapter 10 of Project 2025 was literally about creating food insecurity by cutting safety nets and slashing regulations and restrictions on food production. No, we weren't overreacting to Project 2025.

Walmart getting a 2.9 billion dollar tariff refund, that consumers actually paid, should piss everyone off. Especially since they have been increasing prices incrementally on staples like canned vegetables.

I do not want to download your app. I just want lunch. I do not want to create an account. I just want lunch. I do not want to setup 2FA. I just want lunch. I do not want to 'earn points'. I just want lunch. I do not want to add to my order. I just want lunch. I JUST WANT LUNCH!

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

Disney is laying off hundreds of people at its wildly successful Pixar Studios. But Disney also plans to spend $8 billion this year to buy back its own stock. Corporations don’t care about workers, they just focus on making executives richer.

just got an email from my (former) chair that the university has acted & the state has approved the formal closure of my department. this was done without any faculty input on the decision or the process, & has ended a vibrant, growing (!), humanities department that won teaching and research awards

No science fiction could have prepared us for just how stupid the end of the world can be. "The environment was on the brink of collapse, and so, rather than deal with that, we burned what fuel we had left getting computers to scam each other for money."

Happy 250th to the Declaration of Independence. I’ve been moved by the life of Ben Franklin reading Isaacson’s bio:o “Without freedom of thought, there can be no such thing as wisdom; and no such thing as public liberty, without freedom of speech.” “Where liberty dwells, there is my country.”

I rarely watch the mainstream media but wonder if this is being covered by anyone? Can you imagine the outrage if the shoe was on the other foot?

When you criticize Trump’s inhumane treatment of immigrants in front of Republican family members or colleagues and they accuse you of “being intolerant of other political views” Remind them-it’s not their politics which you question It’s their acceptance-or worse, approval-of immoral governance

I went to Delaney Hall to follow up on conversations I had this morning with family members of detainees. ICE and GEO Group did not let me speak with detainees. Why do they insist on hiding the truth even after getting almost $1 billion of tax dollars?
