Moderately Boring

NY football Giants fan, despite recent history. Which is better than recent US political history. Looking forward to when normal, boring things like the rule of law and due process are applied to the current fascist regime. And I mean it, man.

Between now and November ask every Republican if they support the moron who started a war with a second rate POS country and LOST. When they start their answer with “Well…” you know their answer, spineless.

The Bush administration invaded Iraq, replaced their leader, screwed up the country so much it took 10 years to leave, and had nothing to show for it at the end. The only lesson learned by the current administration is “Steal the oil from the start.”

Seeding the correction again.

I created this image because I was too long under the impression this was a quote from James Baldwin, when it is a quote from Robert Jones, Jr. (Son of Baldwin), so I'm seeding the correction. Source: watermarkonline.com/2021/02/25/r...

Failing to goad the democratic resistance into a violent response, the puppeteers behind the President will not bring the House back or reopen the Government, but intentionally sow conditions to encourage their own supporters to violence so they can finally engage the Insurrection Act.

In his long public career only three of the many statements he made could be verified as true: “You’re fired” “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters.” “I love the poorly educated."

If the DOJ wants to “protect victims and to block the dissemination of child pornography” that’s fine. But how can DOJ then say “nothing in the files warranted further investigation or prosecution?” Somebody did that child pornography and DOJ has receipts. Release the files or start arresting people

Statements in Trumps speeches and other ramblings can be can organized into 5 categories: 1. Hyperbole (“never seen anything like it”) 2. Insults (or projections) 3. Stuff he made up (though he seems to be out of Mr. Trump stories) 4. Outright lies (TMTC) 5. All served with an occasional TACO

American churches are successfully appealing to young men who are hungry for a sense of purpose: ‘When you come here, you learn your masculinity is not toxic.’ WSJ highlights a church that supports poor young men by telling them their role in society and at home is more important than that of women.

A new study compares growing corn for energy to solar production. It’s no contest. PNAS Sturchio et. Al. We could have nicer things only there were a strong lobbies for energy savings and a better environment instead of the ones we have for burning things.

The Trump administration is raising more money for the federal government with a sales tax that everyone will pay, while spending that money and more on a tax cut for people making over $400,000 per year. Seems like pretty simple messaging for a competent opposition party.

WSJ “President Trump’s abrupt and enthusiastic embrace of Russia and its authoritarian leader, Vladimir Putin, is propelled in part by a strategic desire to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing” Or he works for Putin. Occam’s razor applies here.

This is a question in the Real ID FAQ: “Q: Is DHS trying to build a national database with all of our information?” As if tracking air travel is a problem worth addressing, but giving a bunch of hacks access to SS / IRS info so they can build a social and financial profile of every American is OK?
