It wouldn’t be @sketch.com if we just settled on giving you start/end stops for progressive blur. How about as many stops as you want, + 3 blur types (linear, radial, diagonal)? All of that dropping *real* soon. 👀 @raphaellopesph.bsky.social for cool examples of how powerful this will be.

Starting off the year with another sneak peek: Components in the command bar and the new replace popover! Grab some 🍿 and come check out what my friend Alasdair (🎙️), me and the team have been up to. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypwq...

What did we do in 2024? We asked @rafa.design (and a few friends) to show what we shipped… and… well… enjoy!

Check out this sweet sneak peek of the stack layout feature that @paulo.is and the team have been crafting—grab some 🍿 and enjoy :)

Mac mini icon is now available here: mmarfil.com/files/

Mastered hackery to create easy access to a new mini I'm using as a home server: – Dock folder with custom icon & fan display – AppleScript tied to a shortcut for folder contents display – Automator/Shortcuts/Webloc ‘apps’ to trigger actions

Decided to use the novel opportunity of having a nice social network and share a selection of icons I've been working on recently. Keep your eyes peeled if you're into that sort of thing.

Wait wait wait… since when has this been possible? I found by accident.

👋

I've recently written a little blog post to talk about tinted app icons (bear with me, heh) and how we approached our own at @sketch.com. You might find a couple of tips we discovered handy for your own icons too.
