So shocking misogynistic assholes are misogynists who coulda fucking guessed, oh yeah anyone who can recognize the reality that trans women are women, and we are a more socially acceptable woman to punch down on including by other women. Its demeaning women as inherently weak after all.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Sports are a foot in the door, intentionally so by the anti-trans organizations that push it. They know that if they can get you to accept an asterisk on who we are in one arena, they can get you to accept it everywhere.

People will blame every nation but the one that is responsible. The USA made Trump because that's what the USA does, they produce selfish, violent, bigoted, greedy people and when those people become President, they let those home grown traits show.

Finns, go Winter War on these fucks, please. Snipe from the snow, sneak explosives in with food deliveries, drag their managerial and executive class into the snow and lose them

"But Democrats are better. They're the lesser evil!" How? Everything Republicans do, Democrats do to. Record deportations under the last three Dem presidents, record anti-trans bills under Biden. How are they the lesser evil? "They won't kill you as fast?" So you don't value life. Fuck off.

Obama deported more immigrants than W. Bush, and Biden deported more than Trump's first term. The bans on trans healthcare and bathrooms and shit happened under a Democrat president, not a Republican. Trump ramping up the bipartisan agenda doesn't mean Democrats are somehow better.

I'm gonna have to disagree. If the last three Democratic presidencies are anything to go by, the Democrat that wins in 2028 is going to ramp shit up to prove they're willing to "compromise" with their fellow fascists.

Jessie Gender@jessiegender.bsky.social

In November, Dems will likely win big. Liberals will feel relieved. In 2028, a milquetoast corporate Democrat will win the presidency, spend 4 years maintaining what Trump did as liberals go back to brunch. Then, in 2032, as life keeps getting worse, we’ll get something like President T Carlson.

“when I speak, I don't speak as a Democrat or a Republican, nor an American. I speak as a victim of America's so-called democracy.” — Malcolm X

I hate how the “AI” hellscape has poisoned so much of the actual viability for LLMs etc to have utility. I would love to have something record the music lessons I give and condense the lesson a summary that I can put into a template, tweak and add to as my notes for that student

That would actually save me a lot of time, even if I need to correct or excise about 30% of what it produces! But I’m not willing to trial anything because I’m terrified it’ll 1) destroy my and my students’ privacy, 2) scrape and steal our various performances, and 3) also be ecologically horrific.

And so far there is nothing I have seen that seems to not be doing at least one of, if not all three of those. For real if anyone knows of some mid-tier open source thing from the late 2010s or whatever send it my way.

No matter where you shop, you're getting screwed by Amazon. Amazon has found a way to make everything you buy - at Target, at a mom-and-pop shop, even direct from the manufacturer - more expensive. And they're not the only one: Expedia's done the same thing, but for hotel rooms.

The "is AI slavery" discourse is exactly what the tech bros want. It doesn't end with fancy autocompletes having human rights. Its logic ends with you having fewer rights. If you believe AI is sentient (it's not) & are down with enslaving it (it's not slavery), then why do human labor rights matter?
