Check this out if you want to read a bunch of ex-journalists' thoughts on the current (gestures to the smoking crater) state of things, and also me being very very nostalgic about the games magazine era

No worse way to start today than to learn that Eric Bauza died. Are you fucking kidding me?

It’s funny how Elon Musk can just turn off a country’s internet and has more power than most nations and that news just kinda fluttered past us. Like I’m sorry I think that goes against the rules of humanity, I don’t think that should exist, I think Elon Musk ought to be extremely and graphically mu

Do you see how an act is not, as young men think, like a rock that one picks up and throws, and it hits or misses, and that's the end of it. When that rock is lifted, the earth is lighter; the hand that bears it heavier.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

Yet another reason I’m digging Gail Simone and Luciano Vecchio’s Uncanny X-Men run:

pretty clear evidence that republicans in the US losing any election going forward are going to always beg for a coup if they lose. lots of people will have to go to jail

Day two of MCM ended and spent most the day in critical role queues or at the CR meet! Lots of fun, went into the rain to get some photos to prove I was here too haha. - Occtis Tachonis from Critical Role Character belongs to Alex Ward Convention: MCM ComicCon London, October 2026

Remember when I said this was the most pro-cancer administration in my lifetime, at *least*? Listen, if there's one thing I'm gonna be, it's *right* 👇🏽

Okay this crap has made me angry. You wanna find some REAL activists who will share things you can actually DO instead of stare at deactivist "A.i." bullshit? Here's a thread of starter packs!

NEW: On October 17, France witnessed some of the most intense urban unrest in its recent history. Hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated across the country, while clashes with police, widespread looting, and burning barricades transformed the streets of numerous cities. Article in reply.

New — I wrote about Vivek Ramaswamy’s weaponization of Amy Acton’s childhood sexual abuse and how it’s only the latest symptom of a Republican party flush with rape apologists, led by an adjudicated rapist:

I rewatched episode 39 last night, before 40's premiere, and the final scene with Occtis and Demodus made me cry. The "Go be the reason people love wizards; that's not going to be me" and the "I know I'm supposed to be his guy, not yours, but I'm so glad you said no; you gotta have something." 😭
