Minty Root

Updated my Minty ref sheet, finally added a reverse side for the mane. You can still just flip the original side tho.

Lmao, they didn't even try to make the text readable. No wonder people didn't bother watching the movie, the people who prompted it didn't even watch it themselves.

Started storyboarding shots for act 4 of Pandemonium, and it looks like I'll have to build a full set for a single shot again. Hopefully I can find a use for it in a later project.

Big day if you like ponies and/or polka dots.

It's been YEARS since I've drawn Pixel Pony. It was time to give her a bit of an update!

Render weather has returned. The heating in the building hasn't fully kicked in, so I'll be running renders with lots of volumetrics to heat up the place a little.

Mamdani thought about the horses.

Random thought of the night. I was looking at my convention list, it seems like I've never been to a convention that happened in May or September.

Facebook keeps recommending me posts from a page that uses AI to make Blender tutorials. Of course, it's not even good at it.

So there's a benefit with being my own editor, I had a sequence in Pandemonium that didn't feel right, until I reordered two of the scenes and now everything just flows.

Just in time for Halloween, from @crescend.bsky.social , we got a witch Minty, with her assistant @nightietime.bsky.social He's got magic wings.

I'm at a local restaurant and I'm really glad they didn't use AI menus. I can't help but to notice the layering error on the cans of Coke.

Texel density is a myth invented by big texture to sell more big textures.

The first of MANY PWYW commissions. This lovely witch if for @mintyroot.bsky.social I hope you enjoy~ =3= #Art #witch #mlp #anthro

Be one with the monkey. Let that horse play.

So I've had mouse buttons fail on my computer mice before, but it's the first time that the middle button is the one failing first. I didn't realize how much I use it until it started to fail.

So the first week back at the studio has been pretty good. Turns out I'm not working on one production, but two.

"AI is the future", well turns out AI is in the future.

Welcome back, Nightmare Nights.

Needless to say, I can't use that computer for my personal projects, but that does free up my personal computer for more render time away from work.

Day 1 at the new job was interesting. I was assigned my computer and briefed on the nature of the project. This has a Ryzen 7950X with 128GB of RAM and a RTX A4000. Welp.

Saw this background pony and thought they were cute c: 💛❤️

I have to admit, I was really caught off-guard with this. I have just enough time to pay a visit to my best friend, then head back straight to Montreal. I did sorta celebrate it with a poutine with my dad yesterday, but nothing too special.

I know what I'll wear.

YCH update: I just got some job updates, I don't start in January, but next Monday. As a result, I won't have as much time for YCHs, so I'm still keeping them open, but they might take a bit longer to do.

Preparing some new YCHs for the fall season.

Oh hey, it's bi visibility day!

The pope was given the huge green materia.

Bought some components for a little electronics project.

Launching a new YCH! Perfect to introduce your OC! -35USD for your own (Surcharge may apply for more complex designs) -Any gender, any pony race -As a GIF and a high resolution video file -Shaded and unshaded

Seems like I'll have to do some electronics tinkering to fix an animation problem I've had for a while. I'll need to buy some relays and a few small components.
