One of the most influential manga artists of all time, right up there with Tezuka, Mizuki, Ishinomori, Yokoyama, & others. Ashita no Joe is obviously the big one, but he was around since the 50s doing manga his way. Rest in Peace Tetsuya Chiba

I especially like this one moment where we see Tetsuya reading Demon Slayer during his break. Kind of cool to see such a legendary creator keeping up with popular works in his field even in his 80s.

With the recent news about the passing of Chiba Tetsuya (creator of Ashita no Joe), I'd highly recommend watching last year's episode of Manben that spotlighted him. It's amazing to watch a veteran of their craft at work and there are a lot of charming moments. archive.org/details/manb...
