New release for the ZZ9000 #Amiga graphics and coprocessor card, coming tonight!

Is it time? YES. It's time. Time to release this beast of an update, at last. There may still be some glitches found there, but that's why we have future versions also. I've polished this enough for now. Time to prepare the documentation (Amigaguide FTW!) and start the process of tagging and […]

Working on a few more improvements on the ZZ9000 for the #Amiga: - ZZTop fixes and UI improvements. Separate window for the Scandoubler options. - Fixed ZZPlay flickering in MPEG video playback. Improved streaming of large videos - Improved audio output for the AX card. Improved volume and balance

DOpus5 just got native ARM64 (aarch64) support for AROS builds. Now that AROS runs on RPI devices natively, I thought I'd expand the support for the projects I maintain to include it. :) The next release will come with a native ARM build for AROS as well.

While testing the ZZ9000 for things like hardware-accelerated mp3 playback (MHI) and RTG correctness, I ended up finding bugs that were not caused by my implementations, but the upstream apps themselves. So, an MHI bug in Hippoplayer got fixed and a new P96 bug was reported to Jens today.

Now that we have stable FW/Drivers for the ZZ9000, it's time to start working on the most interesting part: native library to accelerate common operations using the second ARM core. Datatypes, mp3 players, C2P operations, are just some of the things that can benefit from this. #Amiga

Sometimes, you just want to push that old piece of software to the limits, and beyond... This is from that same old 1990s-era Lightwave 3D 5.0, on the #Amiga (which a bit of modern plugin magic on top)

Working on the #ZZ9000 #Amiga #RTG card next. Time to optimize that performance a bit, since there hasn't been any new firmware or driver updates in quite a while! #OpenSource
