Regressing into the mindless conformity of the schoolyard isn't progress. To those trying so desperately to bring the word back: you aren't shocking anyone. You aren't breaking the matrix. You are simply broadcasting a profound lack of creativity to the world.

The English language possesses a staggering, beautiful depth of insults and critiques. If you want to call something foolish, misguided, absurd, or completely detached from reality, the lexicon is waiting for you.

Reaching for a slur is a confession that your mind cannot do the heavy lifting required to formulate an actual critique. We live in an era that demands sharper satire, better arguments, and more creative expression.

Reverting to a baseline slur isn't provocative' it’s just loud. It is the tantrum of a toddler who discovered a forbidden word and repeats it endlessly because they lack the vocabulary to express anything else. Beyond the inherent cruelty of the word, its re-emergence is just dreadfully boring.

When every frustrating situation, bad movie, or political opponent is branded with the exact same syllable, language loses its color. Choosing to use a slur because you can't find a better adjective doesn't make you a free-thinker. It makes you a cliché.

The users of this word like to view themselves as modern-day provocateurs. They smirk, waiting for a reaction, convinced they are pushing boundaries and exposing the fragility of a sensitive world. But there is nothing edgy about punching down.

There is nothing radical about using a term that has historically been weaponized to strip human beings of their dignity, autonomy, and basic respect. True wit requires sharp observation; it requires an understanding of nuance, irony, and timing.

Driven by a subset of online contrarians, edgy podcasters, and disaffected youth, the word is being dragged back into the mainstream under the guise of "irony" or a rebellion against "politeness culture." It is a glaring admission of linguistic bankruptcy.

To watch someone reach into the dusty bin of 1990s playground insults and pull out a slur, waving it around like a flag of free speech, is to witness a profound failure of the imagination. It is droll, lazy, and utterly tedious.

We do not have policy disagreements. We have moral disagreements. My morals will not allow me to take a life for helping others. That’s exactly what happened to Mr. Pretti and Mrs.Good. #MAGAHasNoMoralCompass

*It would be an awful shame if you copied and pasted this, so that they couldn't delete the original and all linked posts (again). **An even worse shame would be to start donating these items to protesters. THE BIGGEST SHAME WOULD BE SCANNERS.

It would be a shame if they discovered that these scanners can be used to send as well as receive, allowing them to flood the scanner frequencies with noise. All of this would be a terrible, terrible shame.

It would be a shame if protesters learned that police scanners are legal to own in the US, allowing them to learn where police are moving, and what routes they intend to take.

It would be a shame if they started using traffic cones (the kind without the hole in the top), upside down buckets, or other improvised lids to contain teargas by placing them over the canisters.

It would be a shame if protesters started wearing safety glasses, hard hats, respirators, and gardening gloves, all of which can be found at the same hardware stores as the plywood.

It would be a shame if the people behind the shield wall held up umbrellas so that tear gas canisters fired over their heads on the front line will be bounced away. It would be a shame if protesters began constructing improvised armor vests out of duct tape, hard-backed books, and ceramic tiles.

It would be a shame if the protesters began making their signs out of quarter-inch-thick plywood to stop rubber bullets, forming a tight shield wall to prevent police from singling out and mobbing individual protesters.

The DOJ's laughable 'release' of the Epstein files is a blatant disregard for law, Congress as a whole, and the will of the people. #ImpeachBondi #GuardingOldPedophiles

FIL called in February saying he needed help with daily living. So we moved him in with us. Since then, even though he makes more than I do in his retirement, he's been sponging off of my wife and me. I just emptied the plastic water jug of change to go and buy my anticonvulsant medicine. I'm lost.
