Why, why, why do people think Farage either wants to or is capable of solving _any_ of their problems? The man is a consumate grifter. In it for himself and only himself. He's an evil PoS because to be that grifter he's decided to make life miserable for so many people.

Just got followed by a new account with no followers, following 1.1K. Purporting to be in Gaza somewhere I think and on the lookout for money. Now if they're real, then of course I feel empathy here, but their username was from "cryptoanarchy.network" ... afaic this gets an immediate block.

Well, cancelled Hello Fresh. We've had constant mistakes - missing meals, ingredients. I don't recall the last time a box was actually fully correct! And now they've removed the support number and replaced with an AI bot. Goodbye, shitty service that can't be arsed providing what you've sold!!

Oh good. That was totally the news I needed today .... /s

Russia and the United States are no longer bound by any limits on the size of their strategic nuclear arsenals after their last arms control treaty expired on February 5 with no agreement between them on what should come next reut.rs/4aekQVk

Daksh seems to be suggesting that adding AI into the mix means you can do nothing but work? Perhaps he should move to a non-AI startup with saner working hours?

The UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions. It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

Do I hate that all governments seem to be bowing down to the ridiculous demands of AI companies? Yes. Do I hate that everything is labelled AI, even if it's just a simple ML algo or some dude in India? Yes. (5/6)

Do I hate the fact it is producing half the code at work now and will make maintaining this stuff nigh on impossible in a few years? Yes. Do I hate that a lot of people at work seem to think it's great because they no longer have to think? Yes. (3/6)

Do I hate how the AI tech bros seem to want to actively destroy creativity because they don't understand it themselves? Yes. Do I hate what this seems to be doing to the collective intelligence of humanity? Yes. Do I hate the constant flow of AI garbage in various feeds? Yes. (4/6)

Do I hate the circular financing bubble? Yes. Do I hate the ecological impact? Yes. Do I hate the massively unethical methods used to create these tools? Yes. Do I hate companies forcing AI into _everything_? Yes. Do I hate being told I'm "prompting it wrong" when it lies to me? Yes. (2/6)

So it seems UPS have lost a package that was on its way to me, and now I am stuck in a dystopian hellscape of AI chatbots - both text based and phone-based. It is nigh-on impossible to actually reach a real person!

Bon Jovi's "Slippery when wet" was released about 15 years ago. "That guy" bought Twitter about 4 decades back. I will not hear different.

According to news story, this is the 3rd year anniversary of the purchase of the Twitter by of current owner. Only 3 years?!? Feels like it's been ages.

Watched "The life of Chuck" last night. It was overly twee & as unsubtle as it's possible to be short of Mike Flanagan breaking in and tattooing "I contain multitudes" onto the inside of my eyelids. But it left me feeling really good about life, and does anything else really matter? Loved it!

WTAF? Cancelling your account doesn't cancel your subscription? So, what, I can remove my account and you can just randomly charge me in the future if you decide you're going to "upgrade" my non-existent account again??

WTF descript? Is that where we're at now? Are your profits falling and this is the solution, or are you just really bad at knowing what your customers are already paying for and what payment method they chose? Because either way, it's a pretty terrible look!

So I've been in the UK the last couple of weeks, in my old home town. After meeting a mate for a pint, I went to book an Uber & got a price of > £26 - commented that it was a lot for the journey. Mate did the same booking and got £11.90. I double checked and got £26+ again. 1/2

Basically, Uber was assuming I was a tourist because Swedish account+card, and tried to scam me. Mate booked for me in the end. Driver said he got £9.50 of the fare, which likely wouldn't have changed if I'd paid £26! 2/2
