3 wks later: 21 minute mile today, and I increased my distance to 1.4 mi. I haven't used my cane in over two weeks. I can squat deeper. Move faster. My flexibility and balance have improved as well. I'm on track to meet my goal of five miles before the end of the year. Whoop! And then... RUNNING. ๐
I did it!! Speedy Gonzales, I'm not. But I walked a mile without using my cane. In 100 degree heat. ๐ฅต Woohoo!
Friends, her son is, at this point, miraculously recovering. Please continue to send any small thought of wellness and recovery to him along with strength and calm for her. Thank you so much. ๐
Friends, please send positive and healing thoughts to my friend Rachel and her family. Her son is extremely ill and she has to fly overseas immediately. It's not looking good. My heart is breaking for them right now.

I watched this movie tonight. I had no idea what it was about. I was looking for a romcom, but I found something more. I didn't expect certain parts of it to bring me to tears to the point I had to pause the movie, but it did. Might not be for everyone, but I loved it. youtu.be/HzGx48E64Xg?...

I went from walking a few steps on my own to walking everywhere, usually without a cane, and it feels so good. Of course, I have other issues like knee pain due to poor muscle strength, so my knees takes the hit. I can appreciate how far I've come but I still want more. I can't wait to run!
Rough week. However, a friend & I agreed that "setbacks" can actually shift into strengths. I'm grateful my therapist pushes me & makes me more curious about the possibilities. Tonight I walked barefoot and without assistance for the first time since May 24th. Don't make fun of my hobbit legs.
I haven't watched "The Hundred-Foot Journey" in years and forgot how delightful it is. Storyline, acting, scenery, direction-all lovely. Plus, Indian cuisine is *Chef's kiss* so delicious. If you've never seen it and want to watch a feel-good movie, I recommend it. ๐ youtu.be/MWo67uhzoQg?...

Hey. If you see this, please tell me something good that has happened in your life lately because I'm sick of seeing horrible stuff. I'll start: When I had a hot flash this morning, I was actually able to step OUTSIDE to cool down. I'd been waiting for that moment for six months. It was AWESOME ๐
