The Ramaswamy ad has pushed the largest newspaper in Ohio, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, to reverse its position on endorsements. "A candidate who uses childhood sexual abuse as a weapon against the person who endured it has crossed a line that Ohioans should defend, whatever their party."

And I was worried #Crew96 were going to play tired today. Thinking about how Abou Ali had 5 goals in 500 odd minutes before his injury and what this offense will look like next year.
A terrifically quick counter goes 80 yards. Chambost picks up some loose change in the box, sqares to Lennon, who has the entire net to shoot at and doesn’t miss. It’s 4-0 #Crew96 over Tronna. Aboot 30 minutes remaining. Great work by Taha, who was dragged down but still got ball into the box.

Trish, who doesn’t like gore or anything too intense wanted an “atmospheric horror movie” tonight. I went with the 1989 tv movie The Woman In Black and let me tell you, that one scene still delivers. I’m currently standing by the stairs cause I’m not allowed to up to bed without her now. On YouTube!
There was definitely something in the water, so to speak, back in 70s England. Even their PSAs for kids were basically 90 second folk horror films.
“Most people enjoy having trick or treaters come to their doors, but there are a few people who will do things to hurt kids.” The Brits didn’t have a monopoly on messed up safety PSAs. This one, Halloween Safety was directed by Herk Harvey of Carnival Of Souls fame.
Tom Skerritt was always a face you were happy to see in something and was so consistently good he was easy to take for granted. He brought a quiet decency to his roles and was especially good as the taciturn father in A River Runs Through It.
RIP Tom Skerritt, a reliable and enduring actor who you probably remember from...everything, basically. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
Looking at the timeline this morning and don’t make me tap the sign again.
I 100% endorse this and want to add a related amendment: No more responding to people who are clearly acting in bad faith as if they’re making reasonable claims. I keep seeing people getting bogged down refuting claims that are clearly a pretext. Don’t waste your time, just say Fuck Off instead.

I'm not sure how much more blatant it can get that these guys are looting the federal government and then pointing over there and saying "look what THOSE BLACK PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH!!!" bsky.app/profile/atru...
Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

All the A Ghost Story For Christmas episodes are great, The Signalman is a story by Charles Dickens and stars Denholm Elliott. It’s spooky and atmospheric.

There’s a ton of 70s and 80s British tv horror on YouTube, some better than others but it’s worth looking for. Murrain is a great folk horror that’s basically All Creatures Great and Small meets Wicker Man.
The Ferryman (1974) Jeremy Brett is a horror author who finds himself living out the plot of one of his own books

A summer job that was supposed to be menial office stuff but was actually standing in front of a trough of aluminum lipstick tubes and putting them on a conveyor belt of prongs so they could be anodized (made shiny) and it was second shift. Didn’t come back after day 3. Waited tables instead.

11 year old me would be very excited about this news. My favorite book for a few years there. Much later my dad and I took a fishing trip up in northern Saskatchewan. We had to take a float plane to the camp, while I didn’t have a hatchet you best believe I had hold of my Leatherman the whole time.
